In a world full of uncertainty, hardship, and people trying to hold us back, do we need the undead and trademark attorneys too? Clown Shoes says, "No, die, monsters, die!" Forces of darkness brought about a change in the name of this beer, which was released to celebrate our second anniversary, but it still sports signature dark malts, holy water, and malt smoked locally with hickory and ash.

Bottle 650 ml, bottled 2/2012. Pitch black color, thin beige head. Coffee, roasted coffee, some herbs or spices perhaps and the loads of more coffee, espresso in aroma. Lovely so far. Roasted coffee and roasted malts in taste. Some mid-bitter chocolate also in flavor. Nice roasted coffee and chocolate in aftertaste, but also some light smokiness or burnt wood in there. Smooth, like liquid velvet. Some notes of salty licorice also detected. Really tasty and scaringly easy to drink.

UPDATED: MAY 9, 2017 Praticamente nera, schiuma di media persistenza beige super fine.

Bomber shared by Big Lou, thanks man! Dark pour. Aroma is chocolate and cherries, strange. Taste is toasted malts up front, then dry ashy finish. Not a great finish which ruins this for me.

Bottle. Colour...black with a thin ecru head. Nose...malted milk balls, dark chocolate and fudge sauce. Palate...a bit thinner than I thought it would be but good flavours of bittersweet chocolate, oak tannin and dark toffee. The mid palate is bitter and the finish is long, laden with chocolate and notes of cassis.

Bought at Total Wine & More in Boynton Beach Florida and brought back home to Sweden just a few weeks ago.

The beer pours like thick, black oil into the #Orrefors Stout glass with a thin beige head leaving lacing on the inside.

Nose: Coffee, dark chocolate, cocoa powder, roasted malt, brown sugar, molasses and wood.
Taste: Coffee, oak, roasted malt, dark chocolate, vanilla, grain and tobacco. Mouth: Full body. Complex structure. Light carbonation. Dry and light bitter ending. Smooth.

Pitch black coloured body with a three centimetre tall rich light brown head. Aroma of cream, lactose, vanilla, oak, alcohol, soy sauce, mushrooms, earth and a good deal of roasted malts. Full-bodied; Sweet flavours at first with brown sugar, molasses, toffee and a lot of vanilla noticeable coupled with some roasted malt, a light amount of coffee and earth and a smooth cherry and fruity finish with the drier oak and grainy flavours that show up at the end. Aftertaste shows some bitterness from the dry roasted malt, but a lot of creamy notes from the lactose along with some depth from the alcohol warmth. Overall, a nice robust Imperial Stout with some smooth flavours, a lot of complexity and a deep creamy finish - smooth, especially considering the alcohol. I sampled this 65 cL bottle purchased from Costco in Pentagon City (Arlington), Virginia on 17-October-2015 for US$7,99 sampled at home in Washington on 15-February-2017. Production Date: Unknown // Purchased: 17-October-2015 // Sampled: 15-February-2017.

Draft. Pours black with a beige head. Mild smoked and roasted malts, a little fudge-like sweetness, and mild lingering smoked malts. Pretty good.
