330ml can all the way from Colombia with big thanks to Deycy. Black with a reddish tint but no lasting head. Smells sweet, toasted and cereally like Shreddies and honey. Some fruitcake in there. Taste has some marzipan and burnt grassy notes. Quite well balanced but sweeter than it is bitter. Light and drinkable despite the dark appearance. I enjoyed this.

Can at Craigs. Pours deep ruby, nose is roasted, toffee, light fruit, taste is sweet, caramel, light fruit.

Some light coffee notes in the aroma. The appearance is dark brown with a very thin poor-looking head. The flavor is that of a schwarzbier on the lighter side with a bit of coffee hanging around in the aftertaste. Mostly just okay.

Can 330ml
Aroma: front quiet creamy with cleaner lager themed notes. Proper mineral feel with continental hops. 6-
Look: clear dark brown with lighter tanned top. Rather short lived. 3-
Taste/Palate: medium bodied. Slight nutty feel with dark roasted barley, hint of fig and rye. Dark malts behind, hinted with chocolate and proper hops. Good profile but why so flat (served from can and very fresh)?

From a bottle. Very thin head, nice ruby red color. Decent but not spectacular version of a German dunkel lager.

nimbleprop (8708) - SouthWest, Washington, Washington DC, USA - MAR 11, 2015
12oz bottle in Bogota pours a mostly transparent, deep brown with some thin, off white head. Nose is fairly true to style, yeast, some mild candy, a little industrial, mild toast. Flavor follows, malt, mild candy, yeast, some dark fruit. Clean finish.

larsga (7625) - Oslo, NORWAY - MAY 4, 2013
Small beige head. Clear deep dark red body. Roasty caramelly chocolate and sugar aroma with bready notes. Sweet roasty chocolate taste with raisiny notes. Mid-to-thin body. Mild, soft mouthfeel. Sweetish roasty perfumy aftertaste with raisiny notes. Artificial, and faintly hot. (0.33l bottle, from a colleague.)

Bov (13221) - Bienne, SWITZERLAND - APR 13, 2013
canned; courtesy of Oliver Bieri - almost black beer with a poor head retention; vaguely toasted with notes of corn nd ashes; thin-bodied, harsh palate and with some bitterness; corny aftertaste with notes of burned ribbon

naivepegasus (388) - USA - JUN 21, 2017
Pours a ruby black with a lot of beige slowly dissipating head. Malt and yeast in the nose. Some chocolate notes that slowly build, though definitely on the sweeter side, though a bit of a milkiness to the palate.
