Bottle: Just by reading ’arrocillo’ you know what to expect. The color is nice! Food Pairing: Wash down with real beer.
Amber/ red color with a faint off white head. Aroma is some caramel/ toffee with skunky notes. Flavor is burnt caramel/ crystal malts with some sweet oxidezed notes and a light bittersweet finish. Medium to light palate. FiliusFer (60) - Quito, ECUADOR - SEP 17, 2014
Not a good amber lager, it has sugar cane for it’s sweetness. Copper in color, very thin beer. It’s sweetness is disgusting. NatKadaw (98) - Alberta, CANADA - NOV 22, 2013
Barely amber, more malt presence, no more hopes present to balance the maltiness. A little sticky and thin. Good for a little variety. GRM (4050) - Aylmer, Quebec, CANADA - OCT 12, 2013

I tried several of these beers, poured from the bottle into a glass to drink, while in the Galapagos. The beer had a clear orange-amber color with an average-sized, bubbly white head with low retention, and below average lacing with very light cling. Its aroma featured light caramel malt, with touches of grain and barley, and a light sugar and candy component. The taste was slightly sweet with caramel malt notes, along with a bit of bitter grain and some sourness. The body was light with a thinner mouthfeel, and low carbonation and light, and it was a fairly dry beer. Rodriguez (357) - Quito, ECUADOR - OCT 25, 2012
Dark golden, almost no head, medium carbonation, some sweet aroma but not malt or hops, metallic flavor and aftertaste. I don’t know why the commercial description says it has a perfect aroma and head and that can be enjoyed for those with demanding palate. They try to produce a Vienna, but this is a shame, another disgusting beer for the ignorant masses, they try to impress people because it is supposed to be be the first red amber or red beer, a shame. A classic club premium but sweeter and with less bitterness.
