Hazy, amber color and a large, thin, off-white head of poor retention. Aroma is very yeasty and spicy, floral and fruity esters feature prominently as well. Taste is sweet, fruity, floral, a tad spicy too - it looses its yeasty character to an extent to be replaced by esters. A medium body, a somewhat creamy texture, and a soft carbonation. Finish is medium long and weaker than could be expected. Overall the brew is decent and quite drinkable. Would not mind having it more often.
UPDATED: OCT 9, 2004 Pale orange, hazy; slim white ring with some lace. Sweet nose, candi sugar, spicey-peppery. Very sweet taste, lots of coriander, bit soupy. Medium-bodied. Beer is virtually devoid of aftertaste. Made perfectly, more than reasonable aroma, bland boring taste. I wonder if they want to start concurrence the big brewers now, at De Proef.

Rerated 9/10/04 Much better impression - especially impressed by the balance of this beer. Balance between hops, malts, orange zeste flavour is great. I have added some points on taste and overall.

Clear light to medium orange amber color with a large, frothy, good lacing, fully lasting, white to off-white head. Aroma is moderate malty, caramel, spicy, light to moderate hoppy, sweet orange - grapefruit, moderate to light heavy yeasty, sharp, coriander notes. Flavor is moderate to heavy sweet and bitter with a average to long duration, and a dry finish. Body is medium, texture is oily, carbonation is soft.
Pale light amber with a cream head which isn’t sticking around long.
Aroma of malts, some citrus fruits, and some caramel. The flavour is sweet with notes of malt, yeast and only a slight fruitiness, which is rather unexpected given the fruity smell. Dry finish. Rather thin but altogether not an unpleasant beer at all.

Light amber coloured beer with average carbonation and a large white to off-white head. Fruity sweet malty and refreshing aroma. Full palate; Finish is slightly malty, bitter, short yeasty with some fruity hints. Nicely balanced, good brew. sebletitje (10067) - Enghien, BELGIUM - JUN 22, 2012

Made by contract for Brij. Bluysenaer - a restaurant on the edge of Gent. Amber head, bright gold - copper. Nice aroma of bread - wheat. Rich malts, full body; a little rought and sour finish. Had June & at Het Waterhuis. MiP (15650) - Sønderborg, DENMARK - JUL 25, 2008
Bottle, 7%. Sweet and spicy aroma, some raisin. Cloudy orange colour, big stable white head. High carbonation. The flavour is quite spicy and nice, unfortunately a bit dry. A little more sweetness would have made much more interesting to me. FatPhil (15966) - Tallinn, ESTONIA - MAR 22, 2009
330ml bottle (One Pint, Helsinki, Belgian Weeks 2009) - shared with various - thanks!
Sweet bread pudding with raisins. Decent roasted malts, but very sweet. Sherbet and citrus finish. Sharp and biting. Late finish is very hoppy and crisp, and lasts for ever.
