Sample at the Cider Mill. I had this from the half-gallon, un-aged, cloudy version. Boozy, sugary aroma. Poured a hazed mid gold. Flavor was rough, boozy, fusel-full, and coarse. Hard to drink in my opinion. Strong, with not a lot of apple flavor and lots of white sugar fermentation products. Ugh.
(Sample Date: 7/18/2009 Source:Other) Bottle courtesy of Immy. Apple wood and whiskey all evident in aroma. Clear straw golden. Dry apple flavor with slight sourness. Nice balance of wood and whiskey. Some earthy notes with a touch of alcohol. Touch hot but tasty. Dickinsonbeer (5073) - Hoboken, New Jersey, USA - JAN 3, 2010
Bottle. Pours a light copper, deep gold- still. Aroma is diminshed slightly old apple cider, apple skin and must, green, slight acetaldehyde, vanilla, oak, and phenolic. Oaky vanilla flavor- works ok with this- apple juice, skins, mineral and honey sweetness. Ok. PilsnerPeter (3050) - Flushing, New York, USA - DEC 22, 2009
Bottle at Mike’s place: Light pale golden pour. Very buttery aroma- evident diacetyl formation with sweet apple sugars. Slick body with lots of sweet apple flavors. Lots of residual sugars mesh with diacetyl. There’s a peppery alcohol note with a subtle tannic oak hint. A bit alcoholic and buttery to me. LooseCannon (938) - Norfolk, Virginia, USA - SEP 14, 2009

Bottle courtesy of Immy at Immy’s Backyard Throwdown. Pours gold with no head. Aroma is strong apple, alcohol, and apple skins. Taste is more apple, some sugary notes, apple skin tartness and alcohol. Body is light, spritzy and bubbly. Ends with more apple, sugary notes and alcohol. zizzybalubba (1886) - Raleigh, North Carolina, USA - JUL 20, 2009
750 mL bottle courtesy of Immy at Immy’s Backyard Throwdown. Strong alchol aroma and taste. Looked and tasted like an oak aged white wine more than cider. Very noticeable alcohol burn. I think I would have been ok with the high alcohol if it didn’t sacrifice the taste and actually tasted like a cider. I really didn’t care for this too much. 750 mL bottle shared by Immy at Immy’s Backyard Throwdown. Poured clear gold with no head. It had a strong wine smell to it. It had a strong apple taste to it with a slight bitter finish. Overall a good cider that I would have again Drake (14078) - Milwaukee, Wisconsin, USA - JUL 18, 2009
