Contract brewed by Freeminer for the Co-op
This beer is brewed with the best available organic malt, handmade in one of the UK’s oldest maltings, from barley organically grown in England. This excellent beer is then enhanced with Fairtrade certified demerara sugar from a co-operative in Malawi, and finally bittered and given its unique charater by organically grown European Tradition hops, a variety well suited to this unique product.
Fairtrade certified demerara sugar gives this beer a smooth and rounded character with a liquid message in the bottle, you can indulge while helping others to a better life.

worldbeertaste (1818) - West Midlands, ENGLAND - NOV 12, 2015
A golden amber colour with no a white disappearing head. Smells of hops and hints of honey and malt. Sweet taste of honey with a medium bitter centre and fruit with a soft bitterness on the finish. Thin and watery with a strange aftertaste.

Dorada miel, con no mucha espuma. Aroma y sabor malteados. Bebible y agradable. Final seco. Apreciable.

500ml brown bottle, unfiltered, from the Co-op at a reduced price. Organic Ale Freeminer The co-operative. 5%. Little gush on opening. A little dry and soft inclining to watery. Some sweet flavour, but little else. Some tea. This is rather vague and wishy-washy. It’s OK - quite drinkable, but there’s not a lot going on. Can’t see me rushing out to buy this again., even if still reduced.

Bottle from the Co-op, golden with a hoppy and lightly sweet nose. Dry-sweet and juicy.

TEJA (3257) - Stockholm, SWEDEN - APR 6, 2015
Bottle sampled at Björn, thanks. Very short beige head. Light opaque golden color. Sulfur aroma blended with piny hops. Old and tired caramell maltiness.

AshtonMcCobb (6898) - Edinburgh, SCOTLAND - JAN 3, 2015
Bottle from the Coop. Appearance - golden with a proportionate head. Nose - butterscotch from arm’s length away. Closer it’s sweet lemon. Taste - lightly fudgey. Pale malt too so maybe popcorn. Palate - light to medium bodied with a creamy texture and a finish that is just too sweet to bring refreshment. Overall - it’s an also ran I’m afraid.

shoestring (427) - larkhall, SCOTLAND - MAY 21, 2014
enjoyed first botle, refreshed me - but got a bit samey and cloying after that first one. Began to taste a bit like my old home brew. Did my bottles vary - was that it?. Okay. Amber, big head at first - soon dissipated but left lacing. fruity /floral was there, but just lacked body in the end

edsspoon (905) - Nottinghamshire, ENGLAND - MAR 22, 2014
Pours golden with a fluffy white head that quickly fades to nothing. Aroma of floral hops and fruit with some roasted malt. Taste of treacle, roasted malt and bitterness with a hint of spice. It’s alright.

Aroma: Toasty, earthy, bread, honey Appearance: Clear slightly dark gold body. Medium white head. Flavour: Bread, medium-light bitterness, medium sweetness, Palate: Medium-light body. Effervescent, Overall: Not the best. It lacks flavour. But it a beer that I will drink, but it will not be by choice. 500 ml poured. Thanks Andre! 8C. Extra Special/Strong Bitter (English Pale Ale)
