The Library IPA is definitely not for everyone. True to the IPA style, it has a dormant, almost overpowering hop bitterness. A three week dry hopping process is used to prepare the ale, as was done centuries ago, when this style of beer first came about.

Decent but very average. I liked it because I like IPA’s. However, not unique or balanced. Meaning, the hops were the main feature. Not an overly strong aroma of floral hops. Golden color with low head. Hops bitterness with some grassy malts. Average palate. Somewhat dry finish.

UPDATED: NOV 13, 2014 On tap at the Library. Pours a clear golden with an off white head that lasts throughout the beer and laces nicely. Aroma has some musty grassy hops and an earthy grain backing. Flavor has musty grassy hops and a touch resin backed by earthy grains.

On tap at Coachs OKC. Pours clear golden orange with small off-white head. Aromas of faint citrus and pine with a little hops. Flavors of some citrus and metallic hops, some caramel malts as well. Kind of a bland IPA.

martellus (22) - Oklahoma, USA - NOV 10, 2010
An amber-colored body with a thin off-white head with medium lacing. Aroma contains floral and fruity notes. Taste is of citrus, with a serious hop presence. A very drinkable beer.

(Draught) Pours a clear golden orange body with a medium off-white head. Aroma of grass, lemon, perfume, florals, and caramel. Flavor of citrus, caramel malt, grass, and light spruce with a crisp, bitter finish.

fredandboboflo (1570) - Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, USA - MAY 21, 2010
Ancient backlog. Aroma of pine, spice, a touch of grapefruit, rich caramel. Flavor has loads of caramel with mint, spruce, and citrus hop notes. Medium bitter, medium sweet. Served rather overcarbonated. Not a blow-you-away IPA, but a nice beer.

lumpsowers (288) - Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, USA - JUN 14, 2009
This was served with a new nitrous tap, normally this is served with a regular tap. Clear copper, nice nitrous head, heavy lace. Very flat, looks amazing, somehow Coach’s beer tastes better when it’s supposed to be flat. Some piny alcohol bitterness. Little fruity, alcoholic finish. Better than the regular tap.

from a growler in bricktown Nice hop aroma Orange-copper and only thin-veiled. Grapefruity and citric with a nice bitter ending Thin, watery mouthfeel an ok IPA.

milljam (682) - Norman, Oklahoma, USA - FEB 8, 2009
Depending on the batch...this can be a pretty good IPA. Nice hop aroma....some notes of pine, grass and citrus. Flavor is smooth with some herbal and citrus notes and a nice bitterness in the finish. This is of course assuming that you got a good batch. I’ll give this a 3.4....but Ive had some batches that were around a 2.6.
