Growler. Hard-to-find Oklahoma is now checked off the list. Dark amber, mellow head. Lemonesque flavor and aroma compared with most IPAs. Subtle hints of sweetness here and there, nice dry finish. PhillyBeer2112 (2815) - Oviedo, Florida, USA - OCT 7, 2002
GABF 2002: Strong lemony grapefruity aroma. Intense citric flavors. A little malt backs it up, and its not overly bitter. PrinceofNessus (236) - Norman, Oklahoma, USA - MAR 27, 2004
Nice yellow appearance, very clear. The hops is very apparent in both the aroma and the taste. the hop flavor however, is not as mellow as i would like, it needs to be aged a bit before being sold MrRomero (1976) - Nolanville, USA - DEC 20, 2005
On tap at Coach’s Bricktown. Mjames said this could be on or off but tonight it was on. Poured orange with a medium white head. Nice grassy hop aroma with a touch of citrus. Grassy hop flavor with a mild bitter finish. If you get a fresh sample through clean taps like me, this beer rocks. lilannie (384) - Adamstown, Maryland, USA - FEB 17, 2004
Aroma: smells of sweet, dry hops and carmel malts.
kreepindeth (404) - Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, USA - JAN 8, 2007
Appearance: nice golden yellow tones
Flavor: large taste of hops, very dry; kind of a weird aftertaste of hops and something else that I can't put my finger on.
Palate: dryness at the back of the tongue and throat with a sweet bite at the front and middle.
Overall: not bad, although my taste isn't for IPAs.
Aroma of oranges, grapefruit and some pine. Very hoppy beer, the hops dominate and it’s magnificent. You can almost feel the hop oils. Not very balanced, but this is an IPA. jgb9348 (6187) - Arlington (Pentagon City), Virginia, USA - FEB 16, 2008
Amber coloured body with a light tan head that tops the beer. Great aroma of fresh hops, malt and citrus. Medium-bodied; Strong hop flavour with a good malt backbone and a great bittering finish. Aftertaste is all about the hops - very bittering and very good. Overall, a great IPA from a brewpub, this one should be tried by all! This beer was the best of the bunch from Coach’s. I sampled this beer from draught at the brewpub in Bricktown, Oklahoma City, Oklahoma on 13-December-2005. Braudog (6669) - Yorktown, Virginia, USA - NOV 19, 2006
Draft at Norman brewpub, 11/13/06: Orange-copper and only thin-veiled. Grapefruity and citric with a nice bitter ending. Sharp and metallic a bit, but a "better than expected" venture. Nice. mattcoats (47) - Omaha, Nebraska, USA - OCT 24, 2006
I love IPAs and this is certainly an IPA lover’s beer. Its easy on the malt, heavy on the hops and you realize it as soon as it hits your mouth. It finishes quick and smooth and another is always needed. AmEricanbrew (6878) - Same Trailer, Different Park, Louisiana, USA - JAN 9, 2008
On tap at the brewsteraunt in Norman. Copper colored with an off white head. Nice lacing and head retention. Has a medium intensity grapefruit aroma. Medium bodied with light carbonation. A bitter hop flavor predominates, with a grainy malt flavor for background effect.
A pretty decent IPA considering the scant 4% abv content. 2003
