@dstructos Daks Back-growler–pours a dissipating light tan head and copper color. Aroma is roasty-medium malt. Taste is roasty/peat-medium malt, wood, some medium fruit, spice hops. hopscotch (11113) - Vero Beach, Florida, USA - JUN 1, 2011
Growler… Farewell to ibrew2or3… This beer rocks!… Clear, dark, ruby ale with a creamy, off-white head. Good retention. The bouquet yields a bounty of milk chocolate and caramel with a splash of red wine and a mild wisp of smoke. Full-bodied with a creamy mouthfeel and tingly carbonation. The flavor is sweet mocha, caramel and light vanilla. Despite all the malt, there is a semblance of balance. Finishes malty with a whisper of butterscotch. Thanks to markwise for providing this growler of world class beer! daknole (11049) - Scottsdale, Arizona, USA - JUN 18, 2011
Brown pour. Tons of caramel, vanilla, biscuit, booze. Flavor is sweet, boozy, toffee, vanilla. Ibrew2or3 (8614) - Tempe, Arizona, USA - JUN 25, 2011
Thanks to markwise for this one. It pours brownish copper with off white head. The aroma is sweet malty roasty malts, thin fig notes, a light amount of oak and vanilla. The taste has a nice mix of smooth fruitiness like figs and prunes as well as drying malt roastiness. Into the finish some earthiness joins in and hangs around well into the after taste. markwise (5441) - North of Tampa, Florida, USA - MAY 29, 2011
On growler from Greenville Beer Exchange. Pours a somewhat murky red-brown with an off-white head. Nose is lots of sweet dark malt with hints of earthy smoke. Flavor is similar- lots of sweet dark malt, some noticeable smoke, a hint of vanilla, and some wood. I get almost no barrel in this one,I really have to search to get hints of it. Finish is somewhat malty with hints of smoke in this light to medium-bodied scotch ale.

Thanks to Lunch for sharing some of this at DLD; also, thanks to aasher for apparently sharing with Paul first. Served in a snifter.
Pours a moderate brown color with a thin off-white head. No real lacing or legs. Thin collar. The nose brings some light bourbon and sweet malt. Touch of brown sugar, light oak, and just a bit of vanilla. The flavor has a light sweetness to go with the bourbon. Mild caramel malt with some darker sugars. Mouthfeel is too thin, though the flavor was pretty nice. The lack of body really detracted from the overall experience. A pretty decent brew, but not up to COAST standards.

tap at brewgrass festival 2009.... poured a dark caramel amber brown with a medium soapy light tan head.... aroma of vanilla and toffee, some dark fruits and hints of a very light acidity... flavors of buttery vanilla with a hint of a tart fruit component. finishes sweet with a medium to full mouthfeel. pretty nice. ucusty (2691) - raleigh, North Carolina, USA - MAR 1, 2010
Murky brown pour. Nose is chalked full of oaky tannins, caramel, and light bourbon. No buttery component that I could pick up. Flavor is oaky, vanilla, caramel and peat.. Finish is dry with a alcoholic bourbony blast
