2011 bottle, dated 6/29/11. Poured very deep brown with a rich mocha head that dissipated fairly quickly. The aroma picked up sweeter chocolates, coffee, and bourbon with accents of vanilla and oak.. just a touch of bourbonny warmth on the back of the nose, but alcohol was very well held in check. The flavor opened with tangy bourbon barrel, with roasty coffee and lesser chocolate backing.. watery coffee and lightly smoky bourbon around.. finished with residual dry roast, coffee, and bourbon. Medium-bodied, but thin at times on the palate.. good flavors in there, but it needed more body and substance.
pint glass at brewery, double layer oreo brownie beer is a better name, lots of rich thick malts inthe body, sweet finish bad the drink ability go down a bit. fletchfighters (1519) - AUSTRALIA - OCT 20, 2013

Taste is a bit thin at first. Lots of bourbon and oak again and the body does shine once opened up. Lots of chocolate, roasted malts and oats. . Slightly dry but not that bad. Needed more to really lift it well.
