Bottle thanks to dicksmgee, thanks for sharing something for once! Pours a dark brown with a thin tan head. Aroma had chocolate, toffee, and a hint of caramel. The flavor was very similar. Again, chocolate, coffee, toffee, a slight hop bitterness and some brown sugar. It had a slight pickle flavor that I get with a lot of strong wheat beers. Finishes really smooth, not much hint of the abv%. A little thin for the style, nothing really stands out to me. Very drinkable though. shp555 (2024) - Atlanta, Georgia, USA - MAY 10, 2008
Pours a black color with a light brown head. Aroma is malty, roasty, caramel, chocolate, and some earthy hops. Flavor is malty, caramel, roast, chocolate, and some alcohol. HopheadHans (804) - Bay Area, California, USA - APR 8, 2008
Bottle, shared. Pours black with a small head. Fairly light body for an impy stout. Nice aromaxs of chocolate and coffee. Hides its alcohol very well, fairly smooth and nice flavors of cocoa, coffee and some chocolate. The lingering finish brings the alcohol out in a more pronounced way. kp (10880) - Woodstock, Georgia, USA - APR 5, 2008

Draft, Gene’s - Poured a dark chocolate brown with a frothy but thin caramel head. Smelled of coffee, chocolate, roasted malt and alcohol. Tastes sweet with an alcoholic kick at the end. Lacing marks each sip of the beer on the way down and makes for a beautiful glass when finished. Enjoyable but very heavy and hard to drink more than one. Fantastic representation of an imperial stout.

The aroma was chocolate and roast with an nice presence of caramel and a fruity nature. The beer contained a nice espresso roastiness and a light bit of alcohol coupled to raisins and dark fruit. The beer arrived brown, well, black, with a ruby highlight and a brown head which stood tall and fell slowly to lace the glass. The flavor was nice chocolate with a roast and fruity ester presence. The fruit becma dark with raisins and a grassy bittering a acrid dark grain acidity. The finish was dry with lasting chocolate and dry cocoa into the aftertaste. The body was almost full with a moderately low level of carbonation and a nice texture on the palate. A pretty darn nice Imperial Stout!
Small glass at EVO. Listed at 10.6% ABV.
