Tasted from bottle at 2nd STL Ratebeer Gathering, side-by-side with Buffalo Trace Bourbon Barrel aged version. Fun label. Poured an opaque black color with average beige foam. Possessed most of the typical Imperial Stout aspects, but also some unpleasant sour and soy sauce problems. Hopefully this was just an off batch. I do love that they use so many organic ingredients.

Another winner by COAST. Lightly smoked malt brings a nice complexity and richness to the flavor profile. Lightly chocolatey and delicate with a smooth unassuming finish. Great stuff.

Bottle shared by alexsdad06. Poured a dark brown color with an average frothy brown head that lasted with excellent lacing. Moderate to heavy roasted chocolate, smoke and alcohol aroma. Medium to heavy sweet roasted black coffee malty flavor with a medium to heavy sweet and small alcohol bite finish of long duration. Full body with a smooth texture and flat carbonation. Good, not great.

22 oz bomber from Matt. Poured a pitch black body with a fizzy average sized light brown head. Aroma and flavor of light chocolate, brown bread, soapy citrus and a touch of dust. Great body, fuller with soft carbonation and some lingering burnt notes. This beer probably would have rated a lot higher if I didnt just drink Hunaphus and BA Eclipse 50/50.
