[ Raise The Roof Tasting ]. Clear dark black brown color with a average, frothy, good lacing, mostly lasting, light beige head. Aroma is heavy malty, roasted, caramel, tobacco, licorice, light burnt. Flavor is heavy sweet and bitter with a long duration, licorice, tobacco. Body is medium, texture is oily, carbonation is soft. [20100731]

Bottled. A black beer with a brown shine under a thin brown head. The aroma has strong notes of roasted malt as well as some notes of soy sauce. The flavor is sweet malty combined with notes of roasted malt and a bit of alcohol, leading to a dry and roasted finish.

[email protected] Chriso rock the roof down pre-GBBF tasting. Deep ambery brown colour with small brown head. Aroma is fruits, wood, caramel, some fruits and mild toffeeish notes. Flavour is roasted malts, toffee, mild dark berries, some slight coffeeish notes as well. Pleasant imperial stout.

Bottle at RBWG Asheville Grand Tasting. Pours black-brown with a foamy beige head. The nose has burnt wood, whiskey, dark fruits, mild chocolate. Medium sweet flavor, boozy, some dry chocolate. Medium to full bodied with fine carbonation. Modest warmth to finish, some baking cocoa, light warmth. Pretty decent balance. Nice beer.
