Draft. Almost black color, thick brown head. Aroma of roasty cocoa. Tasty is earthy chocolate and coffee biscuits. Decent.

Bottle thanks to my brother! Pours a thick black with a thin tan, foamy head that laces nicely. Aroma of roasted malts, hint of coffee and dark chocolate, nice earthy notes. On tap at Closed for Business, Charleston. Nice to see this one available, as I’d been wanting to try it and it seemed perfect for an unseasonably chilly evening. Handsome dark brown pour, thin to medium head that’s more crisp than silky. Nose nutty and chocolate aroma, mild sea salt and brine. Body is a bit thinner than ideal but the flavors were deep and rich, carrying the beer. Salt, roasted malts, chocolate, and some minerals. Draft at EO. Pitch black pour with a thick brown head. Aroma of roasted malts, bittersweet chocolate, earthiness, with some mild minerality coming through. Dry, medium minus body with roasted malts, chocolate, touches of ash with some salty minerals. Works well as a stout in the summer. Solid.
