Sample @ Charleston Brewvival, 2015. Amber pour with a small off-white head. Toasted grain and some resinous C-hop character. Soft caramel. Similar flavor. Piney hops, caramel malt. A bit of citrus character, too. Medium body, relatively subdued carb. JDBaker11058 (2439) - Maryland, USA - APR 26, 2017
appearance: beautiful clear ruby amber, with a finger of dense, creamy, light tan head and good lacing. aroma: very fresh nose, fully of piney, floral, and minty hops; hint of caramel and toffee underneath. taste: some toffee sweetness up front, then a wash of pine, resin, floral and citrus hops washes it all away. finish: fresh, clean, lasting dry bitterness; bright palate, just a hint of caramel and toast at the end. notes: Really nice amber. A tad hoppier than I like in the style, but it worked very well overall. First offering from this brewery, will try again. Draft with brunch at Edmunds Oast in Charleston, South Carolina, with Sarah.

Brewvival 2015 Trip #131. Keg at Brewvival. 9700th rating! Pours a hazy amber with a thin frothy tan head. Fair head retention. Aroma of grainy malt and tropical fruits. The taste is caramel malt, citrus and herbal hops. Medium bodied. jbruner (5609) - Marietta, Georgia, USA - APR 17, 2014
Bottle sampled at Classic City Brew Fest 2014. Pours a golden brown with nice off-white head. Aroma is a nice balance between caramel malts and resinous hops. Taste follows, nice piney notes of the chinook, good malty sweetness as a background. tillmac62 (772) - Gaffney, South Carolina, USA - MAR 7, 2014
BOD 1/28/14. Pours a slightly cloudy amber with a nice dark ruby accent giving an orange/red appearance. Tremendous head with a thick lacing that lasts. Nice nose of citrus hops - grapefruit, mango, orange - with a touch of peach over a nice caramel sweetness. Medium bodied with a smooth texture. Slightly above normal carbonation level. Unfortunately, the taste is not as good as the nose. It is a citrus pine mix over a predominate bitterness of the same. The malt is there, but has more of an over toasted biscuit character that lacks the sweetness of the nose. The finish is smooth and leaves an aftertaste of tart grapefruit rind bitterness. In short, good but not great.

22oz bottle in a tulip. Pours deep brown/amber with a lacy, beige head. Aroma of toffee, floral and piney hops, some caramel and pale malts, and light dough. Aroma pretty similar with a nice blend of the hops and malts. Average texture. A pretty cool beer for the style. woodychevy (874) - - FEB 5, 2014
On tap at Bohemian Bull during happy hour. Pours a nice amber with a decent head. Medium carbonation and decent mouthfeel- medium. Nose is floral (chinook) with some sweetness as well. This one balances the sweetness and hoppiness really well- something the amber genre rarely seems to get right. Still on the sweet side but decent finish. Really good for an amber. Liked it.

Draft. Nice citrus aroma with hints of caramel. Good citrus kick up front, then the robust malt backbone kicks in. Filling, drinks a lot bigger than the ABV. bu11zeye (13288) - Frisco (Dallas), Texas, USA - NOV 15, 2013
(22oz bottle) Pours a clear orange body with a medium off-white head. Aroma of pine, herbs, grass, and caramel. Flavor of grass, pine, herbs, caramel, and bread with a dry, bitter finish. Mora2000 (6158) - McKinney, Texas, USA - AUG 25, 2013
Orange amber pour with a white head. The aroma is full of pine from the hops and some toffee. The flavor is similar with a lot of resinous pine and toffee. Medium mouthfeel and medium carbonation.
