Lovely pale ale from COAST, almost an IPA but not quite, citric and hoppy but with a delicious grainy malt soul. Starts semisweet and juicy, bright tropical and citric hops leading into a solid malt middle, earthy and biscuity and mildly sweet, then rolling into an orange marmalade hop finish and a piney fade. Awesome beer.

Poured from 22oz bottle: Golden yellow with a haze. Tropical fruit followed by an earthy note. Taste was similar with a little light malt. Crisp finish.

650 ml bottle from Lane(clt85). Thanks. Pours a cloudy yellow-gold color with a medium sized white head that has good retention. The aroma is very hops forward with grapefruit and lemons. The taste, like the aroma, features bitter grapefruit and lemons set nicely in a light bready pilsener malt base. The palate is light but effective and the carbonation is lively. Finishes long and dry. Overall: Very tasty APA, I loved it.

22 ounce bottle poured a clear light golden yellow, areomas of pineapple, grapefruit, more tropical fruit, and some malt. Flavors are all tropical fruits, light bitterness in the aftertaste that made me want more. A nice surprise, enjoyed this beer a lot.

Nicely aromatic and citrus forward pale ale. A bit thin and lacking in malt depth but just a tasty hop bomb that isnt too bitter. Great stuff.

BOD 1/28/14. Cloudy golden pour with a typical head and lacing that retains for a minute or so. The nose is a blend of citrus and pine hop aromas. Light medium body, somewhat smooth, with a touch above normal carbonation level. The flavor profile is hop forward, but with a mild bitterness. Citrus and pine hops compete for a well balanced blend over a light biscuit background. On the finish, pine predominates as it effervesces then flows into a grapefruit rind bitterness that lingers. A solid offering from Coast, but it needs more balance from the malt.

On tap at Craftsmen. Pours a surprising yellow gold with a thick white head. Aroma of citrus, tropical fruits, mango, grapefruit, grassy hops. Flavor of citrus, grassy hops, hop oils, fruity hops, with a bitter finish. Very tasty hoppy, fruity APA (more of an IPA). 8/4/8/4/14 (3.8/5)
