From notes. First reviewed 7/26/2011. Poured from a 22 oz. bottle into a tulip. From notes.
Out of the bottle, this is a hazy tangerine color with a robust, foamy white head that retains nicely and leaves a web of lace down the glass.
Citrusy hops are very apparent in the nose, with a nice honey biscuity malt presence backing it up. A little bit of alcohol on the back end.
The flavor starts with a light sweetness and a dry, biscuity malt. A smooth, clean bitterness sets in quickly before finding some nice grapefruit and a little bit of pine resin. The bitterness cleans up at the end and actually finishes a little bit sweet.
This has a medium body with smooth, creamy carbonation. A little bit of hop residue is left after each sip, and my lips are left slightly sticky.
Although I appreciate how bitter and hoppy this is, the variety of hops here leave a little to be desired. I could go for a little bit more citrus and a little less of the clean bitter flavor. drunkenpolack (322) - Virginia Beach, Virginia, USA - FEB 3, 2012
Hop Art pours a murky deep orange color. The head this beer pours is huge and has great retention. The head also leaves lacing everywhere and I mean everywhere. Now before I go any further, I just want to say that I think my bottle was a little old. It was still very good but I could tell some of the ingredients were going a little stale.
The smell has a nice grapefruit smell mixed in with a very sweet caramel malt and floral hops. Good stuff. The taste is full of sweet malt backed up by piney hops that I didn’t pick up in the aroma. Mixed in with that is grapefruit and some peppery spice. The malt is definitely up front here though, so that’s why I think this beer might be a little old. I would love to try a really fresh bottle. Mouthfeel is medium bodied, mild carbonation, and finishes with a slight spicy and bitter taste. burg326 (5607) - Florida, USA - JAN 18, 2012
22 ounce bomber that pours a murky golden orange color with aromas of bread, floral hops, malt, citrus, and caramel. Flavor matches the aroma with the malt and hops balancing each other out. Real nice beer. blipp (9691) - La Mesa, California, USA - JAN 8, 2012

With all the good IPAs out there this one is mentionable. Nice citrus hoppy blend with a dangerously drinkable body and nice head. Growler JCB (3999) - Durham, North Carolina, USA - SEP 23, 2011
Bomber from hopsleeroy - thanks, Lee! Deep golden orange pour, with a cloudy center and an overall brightness at the edges. Nice fluffy head and medium lacing. Nose is initially sweet but soon reveals itself to be quite dry and bitter. Full mouthfeel, slightly prickly palate. Flavors are robust but very dry and crisp, shot through with citrus rind and hints of florals. Good one. beerbill (3618) - Laurel, New York, USA - SEP 6, 2011
On tap at the Mellow Mushroom in Charleston. Arrived at the table a very hazy gold with a moderate white head that lasted through the first third of the glass and left ample lace. Very pleasant aroma of fruity grapefruit. The flavor begins with malt and is followed by some citrus fruit hops. Moderate bitterness at the finish. Medium bodied. A bit of biscuit emerges in the aftertaste, especially as the beer warms a bit. Very nice! jtclockwork (17284) - , New Jersey, USA - AUG 26, 2011
Bottle. Pours apricot. White head. Nose/taste of caramel and sweet malt, hops, pine, honey and dried citrus. Finishes dry citrus and pine. Medium body.
