Wee man growler from Whole Foods, Greenville, SC. Glad I wandered around while my sammich was being made. This is a very hoppy amber indeed, which is all to the good. Semi-cloudy pour, dark bronze with a nice brimming head. Nose is bright floral hops with hints of caramel and rind. Nice full body, just enough carbonation to bring out the huge Simcoe flavors. Very enjoyable. jtclockwork (17448) - , New Jersey, USA - APR 2, 2012

Bottle… Clear, brilliant amber ale with a large, frothy, white head. Excellent retention. The nose provides underlying notes of toast and biscuit masked by piney, woody Simcoe hops. Light-bodied with modest carbonation. The flavor is well-balanced and refreshing with moderate, seemingly fresh hop bitterness. Finishes crisp and dry. Bottle courtesy of Elliesbrown! Served on draft at the brewery. Pours a hazy brown color with a medium sized creamy tan head. Good head retention. Aroma of big citrus hops, some herbal notes, caramel malts. The taste is citrus and earthy hops, some tropical notes and caramel malts. Medium bodied, lingering bitterness, well balanced.
