Bottle from Beers of Europe, Kings Lynn. Pours pale brown with a large frothy white head. Aroma of citrus fruit, malt, hop, caramel, and floral notes. Medium sweetness, moderate bitterness. Medium body, slight oily texture, soft carbonation. A decent ale BlackHaddock (7956) - Shropshire, ENGLAND - OCT 28, 2016
500ml bottle conditioned: BBD Jul 2017. The first beer of a Virtual Bar session on 28th Oct 2016. The bottle had been in my chilling fridge for two days, but it still gushed out on opening. The ’Old Speckled Hen’ vase shaped pint glass couldn’t cope but in the end I had a clear, rich golden bodied beer with a ’Mr Softy’ like towering white head on top. Malty front with a semi-bitter hoppy, dry finish. Mild citrus notes throughout, but nothing overpowering or heavy. Beer grew on me, bit ’homebrew’ initially in my thoughts, but once into it my view changed. Peppery undertones somewhere in the flavour: beer ends up ’decent’. redders1974 (1698) - Greater Manchester, ENGLAND - APR 23, 2016
Good colour small head plenty of sweet malts very easy drinking just needs some bite of bitterness to balance it out. ghrees87 (5) - - APR 20, 2016 does not count
Golden colour with a thin white head. Faint citrus aroma with sweet malt taste leading to light happy flavour with some grassy and citrus flavour. Not lingering. Pleasant but not mind blowing BeerViking (5125) - Brentford, Greater London, ENGLAND - APR 3, 2016
Cask at the Northumberland Arms, dark gold with a thin head, a little melon on the nose, dry-bitter and toffee-malty with hints of honey.

Cask, The Kings Head, Leicester. Pale golden with a thin head. Cereal grain with light nuttiness. Thin lemon with low leafy grassiness. Dry on the finish. Average. MrBlueSky93 (535) - Nottingham, Nottinghamshire, ENGLAND - AUG 3, 2015
Bottle from Cellar Door, Four Oaks, Sutton Coldfield.
Pours copper, slightly hazy with a single finger white head. Aroma of malts, citrus...Taste of initial malts, caramel, toffee, some dark fruitiness, then some blood orange and a touch of citrus with some flowery notes too. Simple Bitter, I can see why it sells, but it’s not the best in the world. ianwelby (1566) - SCOTLAND - MAY 16, 2015
Very slightly hazy golden beer with a thick, bubbly white head. Bitter smell, very light citrus in there. Flavour is, thankfully, more distinct than the smell. Quite a zesty hit initially, very grapefruity, though there isn’t much sweetness and what there is soon dries out leaving quite a flowery, bitter aftertaste. It’s a bit like a drier citra. Bottle. Dram Shop, Sheffield. Clear gold. Big, bubbly, frothy, lasting, white head. Lots of carbonation keeping it going. Very crisp, citrus notes. Some grassy hop. Clean malt backbone. Taste is light dry, and crisp, citric bitter. Cleansing, fresh palate. Finishes gentle, but lingering bitter. Another bottle from this brewer that’s in fantastic nick. Very sessionable. Good one.
