Can. Damn easy to drink. Soft, subtle. No bitter. Bit of malt. Slight caramel. Just good ads135 (5234) - Omaha, Nebraska, USA - AUG 15, 2016
It has a strange taste, not what I’d expect from a brown. Even a little citrus in the aroma. The parents picked this up for me in Savannah in 2016. PoppaKoldbrew (1) - - JUL 14, 2016 does not count
Can, purchased at Publix on Wilmington Island. Nice Amber Brown color with a slight tan head that fades fast. Nice toasty malt flavor with decent carbonation. Nice finish with hints of coffee and chocolate. I prefer IPAs but this is a decent brown ale. I'll probably keep a few cans in the fridge.

Okay brown. Light brown color. Some cocoa, nutty, a tad chalky and thin. Forgettable but not offensive Ratman197 (15746) - Arvada, Colorado, USA - NOV 20, 2015
Can poured a clear reddish brown with a small lasting tan head. Aromas of caramel, earyhiness and light cocoa. Palate was light to medium bodied and smooth. Flavors of cocoa, earthiness and light cocoa with a smooth lingering cocoa finish.

Can. Head is initially average sized, frothy, light brown, mostly diminishing. Body is medium to dark brown. Aroma is moderately malty (roasted/burnt nuts, unsweetened cocoa powder). Flavor is moderately sweet, moderately acidic, lightly bitter. Finish is lightly sweet, moderately acidic, lightly to moderately bitter, unclean. Medium body, watery texture, lively carbonation. Coastal Empire is apparently doing their own canning now (this one had a sticker on it saying canned by CE in Savannah, which covered up the "brewed by Straight To Ale" printed on the can originally, and the Tybee Blonde already had the former message printed right on the can itself, presumably a fresher batch than this one), but it’s impossible for me to say if that’s good or bad since I haven’t had the Straight To Ale versions. All I can say is both are poor quality, esp. this one, which is quite sour and dirty in the mouth, and very one-dimensional in the nose. A dumper. Gachupines (1252) - USA - APR 11, 2015
Pretty simple aroma, slight toffee. Flavor is slightly bitter coffee with an astringent aftertaste. Not bad.

Pours translucent reddish-brown with a fairly thick and rather persistent fluffy light tan head. Not bad for out of a can. Aroma has malty, caramel and nutty notes, not strong but tempting. Flavor is a little better, adding some woody hops and toastiness to the mix. Mouthfeel is firm and viscous, though fizz is lacking. Overall, not too shabby. Actually a pretty decent brown ale, better than expected. Would easily buy more canned beers if like this.

Appearance: Pours from the can a mahogany-hued, near clear body with a smallish, off-white head.
Smell: Falls in-between toastiness and roastiness, a restrained dose of floral, citrusy hops.
Taste: Roasty, toasty malts with a hint of a charred grain element. A dusting of lightly sweetish cocoa powder. Minor caramel. Modestly estery. Floral, citrusy hops with a medium degree of bitterness. Soft finish with a drying maltiness.
Mouthfeel: Medium-bodied. Medium carbonation.
Overall: Not bad. A drinkable, run-of-the-mill brown ale.
