Crystal clear gold body. Soft. Fairly clean finish. Slightly husky malt. Hips are mostly in the bettering and fleeting. Ernest (7786) - Boulder, Colorado, USA - MAY 25, 2015
Can. Head is initially small, frothy, white, mostly diminishing. Body is light to medium yellow. Aroma is lightly malty (grain, husks), lightly to moderately hoppy (flowers), with a light note of soap. Flavor is moderately sweet, lightly acidic, lightly bitter. Finish is lightly sweet, lightly acidic, lightly to moderately bitter. Light to medium body, watery texture, lively carbonation. A simple, somewhat roughly malted example. Watery and thin, with a disappearing head. Drinkable, but little more. Cybercat (6010) - Georgia, USA - APR 10, 2015
Pours clear golden with a frothy eggshell head. Malty, dusty aroma is barely detectable. Flavor, fortunately, is much stronger, malty and a little fruity - not spectacular, but certainly acceptable. Hey, not every beer has to be a three-course stout. Mouthfeel has average thickness and little fizz. Good for a party, or for a meal, or for just taking the edge off the summer’s heat. Appearance: Pours a light yellow-hued body, ever so slightly hazed, with a small, powder white head.
Smell: Sweetened lemon peel, scant crackery maltiness and a pinch of peppery dried herb.
Taste: Mild malt flavors of soda crackers and puffed grains preclude some sweetish lemon, some mealy-toned husk accents and a herbal, lightly spicy hop character. Lightly bitter. Flavors follow through the crispish, semi-dry finish, though, there’s more of that sweet lemon popping up in the aftertaste.
Mouthfeel: Medium-light body. Medium-plus carbonation.
Slightly funky grain aroma, with just a little hint at some sweet spiciness. Jimmy-Buffett-esque can. Tinged straw color, very clear, not much head. Lightly malty, a light straw-husky bittering. Medium body. Hay-bitter aftertaste clings a bit. I would only have this again if it was free. And cold. Habersham Beverage Warehouse, Abercorn, Savannah. Can from Five Points Bottle Shop (Lumpkin St.). Pale malt nose, sugar, floral, and light grain. Gold straw color, soap sudsy head. Grassy, light malt sweetness, some bread.... Thin body. Okay. The floral sweetness is a bit much. finn1918 (234) - Georgia, USA - JUL 21, 2014
$9.79 six pack from a Bi-Lo on Hilton Head Island, SC. Pours a hazy dark gold with an explosive white head that slowly falls to a few permanent lumps atop the beer. Aroma is weak--malts and some yeast. Taste is sweet malts, butter, vanilla, some nuts with a yeasty and crisp finish. Mouthfeel is creamy and smooth. This is well within the style guidelines, being refreshing, easy to drink, and forgettable. Worth a tick if you’re in the area.
