Cask @ The Salopian Bar, Shrewsbury. Pours clear amber, white head. Aroma is caramel malt. Taste is moderately hoppy, I guess for the strength there’s more here than would normally be. But otherwise fairly uninteresting with lightly sweet malts ready to take the stage once the hops start to diminish. SilverfoX (871) - Norfolk, ENGLAND - AUG 31, 2015
smells mouthwateringly lemony, amber gold colour with no head, very bland watery lemon flavour, neither monstrous or hoppy BlackHaddock (7329) - Shropshire, ENGLAND - JUN 14, 2015
Cask pint in The Crown Inn, Oakengates on 13th June 2015. Clear light golden pour with a white topping. Nice blend, not too sure where the Hop Monster name comes from because this was not a particularly hoppy beer at all. Pleasant and easy to drink, refreshing and balanced: no real domination by anything aroma or flavour wise. undercurrent25 (2142) - Barnton, Cheshire, ENGLAND - SEP 22, 2013

Cask-conditioned at the Robin Hood, Bristol 18/02/2012. Amber with a slight white head. As other have noted, hops were not evident here. Sulphury aroma with a touch of fruit. Flavour of sweetish malts, with a yeasty, stoned fruits edge and bitter finish. Ok. Benjii (3049) - Edinburgh, SCOTLAND - JAN 20, 2012
On cask at Bar Fringe. Pours a blonde colour with a thin white head. Aroma of apple, pineapple, yeast and caramel. Yeast flavour is quite prominent with caramel and biscuity malt and a dry finish. Mild carbonation and an oily mouth-feel.
