Reddish-brown beer, small beige head. Nose is sweet, raisins, bready and malty caramel. Flavor is malt, some bread, caramel, more raisins, slighty vegetal. Finishes with more booze than I expected and sweet potato notes. A bit weird.

L: pours a lovely dark reddish copper, with a quickly dissipating head. S: some mild scents, a little sweet potato, malt, sweetened caramel, a bit like raisin chocolate. T: quite boozy but nice, definite caramel, the sweet potato is coming through more, quite earthy. Lower down the taste of brown sugar really takes over. F: a touch of alcohol burn at the backend, a bit of spritz up front. O: it’s good, the most complex of Coedo’s regular line-up. Would have again.

Bottle from Sarkynorthener cheers Martin; light copper pour with a thin white head, aroma has sweet potato stew, taste has minerals, veg broth, quite skunky,

Bottle from cellar door, sutton coldfield. Copper beer with small head. Aroma of caramel and light spices. Taste is caramel, brown bread and soft malts. Ok.

On tap at Watermans Beer Market 170515. I must say that I didn’t detect much sweet potato in the flavour or the aroma. Deep amber colour with plenty of maltiness.

UPDATED: JUN 8, 2015 A different ale brewed with sweet potatoes. A different flavour, but booze flavour is too dominating

333ml bottle from City’Super IFC drunk near Beer Bay. Pours dark amber with a thin off white head. Aroma of toffee, bittersweet finish - a little oily.

Bottle. My first from this brewery. Clear and pored with no head. Slightly sweet with some roasted maltiness.. Unusual without being outlandish. Probably my first beer that has been produced using sweet potato.

On tap at Tokyu Department store event. Deep amber to brown color with a nice soapy beige head. Big aromas of malt, and dark fruit. Like cola on the palate with active carbonation and a medium to full body mouthfeel. Sweet on the palate but not overly cloying. Nice slightly bitter finish. Nice Japanese original beer.
