Draught at Watering Hole, Yoyogi. Clear golden - white head. Zesty. Nice bitterness. Light to medium malty. Citrus. Nice hoppy. Light phenolic. Nice. MartinT (9880) - Montreal, Quebec, CANADA - APR 25, 2013
My Bottom Line:AndySnow (7621) - Huddinge, SWEDEN - MAR 25, 2013
Peppery, citrusy hops attract straw-like pale malts, leading to coniferous resins in the finish.
Further Personal Perceptions:
-A veil of foam tops the misty pale gold.
-Fruity esters and New World hops get along nicely.
-Body is lean, which lets the hops express themselves.
-This is a very professional rendition.
-The mouthfeel is not very Belgian-like, but this was on tap so high carbonation cannot be expected, sadly (so few do it).
On tap at Watering Hole.
Tap at Watering Hole, Tokyo. Opaque yellow colour with a white head. Strong citric aroma with yeast, fruits. Mild hops flavour with wheat and malt. shoulderbroken (4255) - Tokyo, JAPAN - FEB 1, 2013
Tap at JBT fest. Blonde colour, bit hazy, creamy white head. Aroma is bit funky, slight yeasty element. Bit wit like. Taste is citrus grapefruit, some weirdness. Twiggy maltiness, some wheat. Nice enough, but little unexciting. Doesn’t hide alcohol so well. Not sure about it. Was ok, but not rushing back to try it again. KyotoLefty (10254) - Kyoto, JAPAN - JAN 28, 2013
Draft at JBT 3 year anniversary. Golden blond. Nice citrus nose, orange, clean hops, probably orange peel. Sweet, tangy flavor, yeast and grassy hops, citrus. Solid Belgian golden ale with nice bitterness and not cloying at all. Approaching a Duvel-like thing. Great. Maybe the best of this style yet made in Japan?

light amber color. Estery Belgian yeast nose. Hint of peaches and apricots. The mouth is clean, balanced, dry and with Belgian funk hitting followed by an assault of hops. Big bad ass lingering finish. Very well balanced and well put together beer. Lingering dry finish. Best beer these guys have made. jonno (2761) - JAPAN - NOV 8, 2012
UPDATED: NOV 13, 2012 Really average all round. Like an imperial weizen with belgian wit like orange peel added. Estery, but lacking in anything resembling a likeable character.
