Bottled at Narita Airport. Clear yellow, small head. Rich grassy hop aroma. Mid dry with medium body and firm mouthfeek. Grassy salty with distinct bitterness. Solid pils. petewhitley (570) - Nagoya, JAPAN - NOV 17, 2013

0,35 l can. I have had some Coede beers before, probably also this one - but somehow they have felt quite ordinary. This time did proper tasting with aroma glass :) Rob_D_UK (1366) - Madrid, SPAIN - SEP 14, 2013
This is supposed to be "Japanese style pilsener". Considering that al major brews in Japan are pilseners, it would be difficult to stand out for this one. Appearance is nice though, yellowish pale, with dissipating top. Aroma is the biggest surprise - it is actually very nice, somewhat sweet with some mango and banana. Taste is smooth, some soft fruit tones give way for mouth-filling bitterness. Not too much of hop aromas / tastes flying around but you can definitely feel some hop bitterness. Aftertaste is quite classic, dry, some remaining bitterness. Overall nice pilsener - although in these days I am more into "bigger" beers, this is a nice take on the style.
Pale yellow slightly hazy appearance with very small foamy white head, flat, bitter taste, roasty aroma, bitter finish. biirusaikou (2705) - - AUG 18, 2013
Light caramel malt aroma. Sweet roasted malt, some hops, bitter finish. Overall a bit too bland, but not that bad for a German-ish pils.

Small shortlasting head. Aroma is slightly neutral, light malts, rice, caramel, hay, hints of hops. Taste is slightly dry, light malts, hops, hay, caramel, hints of grass. Medium bitterness, slightly dry mouthfeel. Actually pretty nice for being a Japanese pilsner.
Bottle received chilled from the brewery. I was pleasantly surprised by this. Quite tasty, strong floral notes which make this quite a unique pils. BelgianBeerGal (4173) - Panama City, Florida, USA - JUN 26, 2013
Can from Ueno station. Fairly standard pilsner. At least it isn’t bland and boring; decent body to it. Not bad but nothing amazing. Fine. hoju777 (156) - Florida, USA - JUN 23, 2013
Bottle from Grand epicerie. Smells strong, but with an ’Alsatian’ funk. Yellow but opaque (that’s weird). Watery but with burnt caramel. Smokey burnt caramel. Very interesting! Tonkun (1306) - New Jersey, USA - JUN 20, 2013
Bottle. Hazy yellow pour with a finger of white head. Fruits, leather, malt. Bitter sweet. Light to medium body. Nice and refreshing
