Bottle from Davis Co-op. Pours golden with a huge off-white head and a light floral aroma. There is a slightly sweet pilsner malt flavor with a little banana ester and a bitter finish. Refreshing. Theis (15150) - Frederiksberg, DENMARK - APR 25, 2013

Can. Hop aroma, slight citrus tang. Light carbonation, semi-dry mouthfeel. Much more bitter than I had expected, but not too shabby overall.

330ml bottle bought at Gorgeous Wine & Cigar in Yuen Long; Golden colour; Less than half finger head and white foam which last for 1 minute; Small but sticky lacing with notable carbonation; Potent smell of malt, meaty yeast, corn syrup and faint grass; Light sweet taste of malt, earthy yeast with strong liquorices, bitter lime and sharp grassy hops; Mid to light body, thin but slick palate. Taste profile is initially medium note of minimally-sweet, strong lager malt, followed by stronger earthy meaty yeast, all wrapped around in a true-to-form Classic German Pils level potent hops bitterness and astringency, with lively liquorices, bitter limes (lemon is notably absent) and grass that quite impressive to the tastebuds. Pretty dry after taste, crisp and bitter to mouth.
Comments: This one holds several surprises: looks like an Urquell, smells like a macro, yeasty mouth feel reminds me of some good hefeweiss, and hoppiness is truly German Pils. Its aroma is a let down but everything else works out just fine. Bitter, rustic, and enjoyable in a simple way. A gem for German Pils lovers.
Well made beer with good head retention. Quite hoppy for the style and not at all grassy, more fruity undertones. A lemon aspect also runs through the body. Having said all that it’s a bit non descript, though would be good in a pinch, as it’s readily available. trapped (3767) - New York, TURKEY - JAN 22, 2013
Bottle. Pale yellow slightly hazy appearance with very small foamy white head, flat, bitter taste, roasty aroma, bitter finish. Did not like it very much. ofey (68) - Doncaster, AUSTRALIA - DEC 25, 2012
Hoppy to smell, Yeasty start, carbonated fruity end, Oily palate from the amazing hops.
Not bubbly enough for my liking. Frank (4255) - Chicago, Illinois, USA - NOV 19, 2012
Very clear and very pale. Grassy and dry with a slightly chalky bitterness. Not bad. Pretty drinkable.
