The feature of this non-filtered wheat beer is its bright, smooth, slightly cloudy appearance. Through the use of wheat malt and specially chosen yeasts, this refreshing brew with fruity overtones, boasts a full bodied, yet smooth texture, which glides easily down the throat. With its distinctly individual flavor and smooth elegance, it has been named "shiro," meaning white.

33,3cl bottle from SIP veini- ja llepood, Tallinn. Pours slightly hazy golden with a rather small, white head. Smells like pear soda! Rather fruity aroma, but more towords artificial pears than banana, some banana and tropical fruits too and some mild wheaty notes. Moderate sweet with somewhat strange fruity flavours and a fairly light acidity. Fairly tasty and drinkable, but nothing I would buy a second time.

Shiro means "White" in Japanese. A little bit hazy and orange color with small white head. Aroma is lots of malt, balanced clove and banana. High carb, light body. Spicy, banana, malty, dry, water. Nice weizen, but may be too light for me.

Appearance: white small frothy head. fair lacing. mostly diminishing. cloudy yellow thick body. aroma: moderate yeasty, banana and honey. initial flavor: moderate sweet (banana). ff: moderate sweet and light acidic; average duration. Palate: medium body, watery texture, lively carbonation and light astringent finish. Tasty, but its above-average sweetness make it a little too cloying for my taste. It lacks balance. 30s usd 3,95

330ml bottle (Pothouse, Tallinn)
Slightly cloudy orange, nice tight head. Very orangy aroma, bergamot, coriander seed even, its so spiky. Very smooth full palate, pleasant carbonation. Odd estery retronasals, a bit solventy. Tons of sweet wheat in the taste, a bit of banana ice cream at the end. Some minerals in finish, chalky. Several negatives, but I kinda like it.

Sampled from the bottle at ABR 2015. Pours a clear yellowish gold with a bubbly white head that dissipates to the edges. Aroma has a good amount of sweet wheat with touches of clove and light fruits. Flavor has sweet wheat with a touch of earthiness and light fruit and clove supporting.

330ml bottle (thanks FatPhil). Hazy amber color. Small size, white head, cant hold. Sweet, very faint orange peel, yeasty, faint banana in aroma. Sweet, grainy, mild hops, but notable hops in taste. Hopping is very well done. Nice mellow crisp mouthfeel. Whole composition is quite refreshing. I like it. Good brew.
