The feature of this non-filtered wheat beer is it’s bright, smooth, slightly cloudy appearance. Through the use of wheat malt and specially chosen yeasts, this refreshing brew with fruity overtones, boasts a full bodied, yet smooth texture, which glides easily down the throat. With its distinctly individual flavor and smooth elegance, it has been named "shiro," meaning white.

Bottle received chilled direct from the brewery. Pretty much what I was expecting, standard wheat beer. Unfortunately lacking in anything to make it stand out, but by no means bad, just no real wheat aromas and the taste is very subtle.

On tap at CRAFT Sukhumvit, pours a cloudy golden yellow with a small off-white head. Aroma brings out coriander, citrus and some biscuity malt. Flavour is earthy and a bit cardboardy, with light citrus and a hint of spice. Something seems off here - seems stale and old.

Bottle from ??? - Color: hazy pale blond beer with small carbonation and medium white foam. Smell: wheat malt, sweet bread and hefe weizen yeast. Taste: medium body with wheat domination, fresh and drinkable. Floral notes. Aftertaste: floral and sweet bitterness.

Poured from a 333 ml bottle, it appears a hazy unfiltered golden colour with plenty of white froth. The aromas detected are typical for a wheat ale, earthy and yeasty, bread and dough. Flavours are again typical of a hefeweizen, sweet malts with subtle hints of spices and fruits in the mix. golden, Light, refreshing brew for the weather!

Bottle from Saveur Biere. Hazy yellow with a small white head. Aroma is sweet, wheaty, yeasty and heavy ripe banana. Flavor is quite sweet. Sweet finish. 270517

JPDIPSO (6223) - Wauwatosa, USA - MAY 27, 2017
Hazed straw colored liquid, with a modest, somewhat diminishing off-white head. Citrus (lemon zest) and yeast aromas. Heavier feel. Sweet wheat and pale malt sweetness. Mild clove and bit of banana (used the right yeast). A heavy hefe. Too sweet.

At Yusho. Not bad, soft and fluffy mildly banana and clove, a little watery. Serving: Tap

Koelschtrinker (20396) - Köln (Cologne), GERMANY - MAR 19, 2017
Heller, mild süßer Antrunk. Geringe Herbe, süffig, geringfügig hopfig. Spritzige, eher trockene Hefenoten zum Ende. 8/9/9/9//9

Scipio (1079) - Palatine, Illinois, USA - MAR 5, 2017
Pours a clear, bright, yellowish golden with a thin white head. The aroma is rather subtle and evenly balanced, containing wheat, bread, banana, and lemon. Wheat and banana are the main impressions in the taste. Bread, mild spices, and hints of floral hops serve as compliments. Banana is found in a longer, weaker aftertaste. Lighter in body, with a smooth texture, and about average in carbonation. Not bad, though this one isn’t very memorable.

Svesse (8597) - Hässelby, SWEDEN - MAR 4, 2017
(Bottle, Japanese Canteen, Bethnal Green, London, 25 Nov 2016) Golden colour with frothy, white head. Malty, wheaty nose with notes of citrus, hay and bread. Malty, fruity taste with peaches, citrus, bread and grain. Medium body, with a touch of sweetness. Decently drinkable, but hardly exciting. Enjoyable.
