Bottled. Deep ambery brown colour with a mediumsized off-white head that leaves some lace. Aroma is sweet malts, a bunch of coffee and some slight yeastyness. Flavour is bigtime coffee, rather sweet and not all that balanced.

Bottle. A reddish to copper colored beer with a beige head. Coffee, sweetness, some anise and meaty notes. The flavor reminds me of a coffee-cream filled dark chocolate available in Norway, but it’s too sweet, and slightly buttery. Medium body. Sweet finish with coffee and butter notes. A special beer indeed. Not bad, but I don’t think I’ll repeat it either. 100115 rane (1071) - Nibe, DENMARK - JUN 25, 2010
Bottle. I had been looking at this beer for a while, and it looked very exiting, but was actually quite disappointing. Dark brown with brown head and lots of sediment. Aroma very sweet and malty only very weak notes of coffee. Taste very sweet with many sugar notes, quite malty and again only weak coffee notes. Most of all this beer reminds of a brown ale of the worst kind with some coffe notes added. Too sweet and cloying. In some way it reminds me of a bad coffee liquer without coffee. gunnfryd (15097) - Kristiansand, NORWAY - JUN 20, 2010
Bottle. Brown colour with a beige head. Aroma is sweet, coffee, cream, sugar , anise. Flavour is sweet, cream, sugar, anise, syrup. Strange exciting beer. nbutler11 (1267) - Cambridge, Cambridgeshire, ENGLAND - APR 28, 2010
Bottle purchased in Berlin. Pours a thin coffee color with an amber tint and a trim beige head. Smells of coffee and BUTTERSCOTCH. Sicky sweet with the flavors of both and an added note of maple syrup. Tastes like a coffee additive. Leaves sediment that looks like someone put a cigarette out in the beer. No, thank you.

Bottle 33 cl. A pour that a clear dark brown and not all black as the coffee stouts we have seen around the last couple of years. The crown is cappochino-light with a inch high fluffy froth. The nose is pretty strange. It has a faint touch off coffe, but also licorice and a lot of brown sugar and some vanilla - but mostly its the thick sweetness from the brown sugar that dominates. The taste is ohhh so swwt and reminds me of a traditional mild danish christmas beer that are served to the rice putting stuff we get around here.. A hint of sweet coffee but again its the brown sugar that dominates. Not ery pleasent. Thin palate with a sweet finish Eructoblaster (4303) - Gatineau, Quebec, CANADA - NOV 28, 2009
Bottle - 330ml. Pours a dark brown hazy body with low carbonation and a decent, lasting off-white foamy head. Malty aroma carries strong coffee and woody hints. Taste is slightly misbalanced. It carries some vanilla notes and ends with a short sweet/roasty finish. sfhodense (4788) - Odense NØ, DENMARK - OCT 11, 2009
Pours brown with a large beige head, floating particles. Aroma is instant coffee, light caramel, light tobaco. Flavour is sweet coffee, caramel. Similar to Kalua, way to sweet. stobbe74 (3789) - DENMARK - SEP 28, 2009
Bottle, 33cl. Pours a brown beer with an offwhite head. The aroma is tobacco, coffee and sweetness. The flavor is sweet coffee. The palate is sticky and overall a strange beer. Stefano (2019) - Thisted, DENMARK - SEP 10, 2009
Brown colour with a beige head. The aroma is coffee and caramel. Flavor is dominated by coffee and very sweet sugar, too much unfortunately. A higher alc. percent would suit it. Very sweet aftertaste.
