Bottle. Pours hazy nutty brown with medium white head. Aroma is subdued with notes of overripe apples, malt, yeast and barn. Taste is medium sweet, light to medium bitter and faint acidic. Body is syrupy with mild carbonation. Finish is long and mostly sweet with notes that follow the nose plus hints of soy sauce and cinnamon. MrOrla (3060) - Odense C, DENMARK - NOV 25, 2016

Copenhagen 18/12 2015. 33 cl bottle from Gunnar Madsens Vinhandel. Some decoration from the Christmas tree on the label. Just to get you in the Christmas Mood. Pours lightly hazy copper brown with big off-white head. Settles beautifully as a fat 1 cm thick layer of foam. A lot of lacing. Aroma of sweet caramel with fruity sour notes and some fermentation. Soft carbonation and oily palate. Taste is nicely balanced. Sweet caramel, anis, licorice, fermented fruit. Medium bitterness in aftertaste. Pleasant enough Christmas beer. Presents some Christmas spices without being a parody. Cepos (14) - DENMARK - NOV 9, 2015
Okay Christmas beer, not exceptionel. Sweet redish. Surely wellsuited with food

500 ml body. A clear amber body with a big, foamy tan head. Aroma has malt, caramel, nuts, toast and some Christmas spices. Flavor is sweet malt, caramel, bread, dry fruit, moderate bitterness and spices in the background. Medium body and decent aftertaste. Quite OK, but rather anonymous and easy to forget. 0.5 L bottle from Vinmonopolet Nettbutikk. A layer of big-bubbled beige foam, over a misty red-shaded amber body. Low aroma level for a belgian-styled ale. Bready nutty malts with malt drops and hint of jammed berries. Taste is sugar sweet malty, with prominent anise-seeds, hint of tinned fruits, and an underlying spiced bitterness. Light in body for the style. Spiced sugary-malty endnotes. Drinks ok, but not quite there.
