Clear medium to dark brown - red amber (ruby) color with a average, frothy, good lacing, mostly lasting, off-white head. Aroma is moderate malty, caramel, fruity, fruit cake. Flavor is moderate sweet and light to moderate bitter with a long duration, caramel, malty. Body is medium, texture is oily, carbonation is soft to flat. [20130119]

Cask at the Sussex Arms, Twickenham Green - 02/03/13.
Dark amber with reddish hues and a thin beige bubbly head that retains well.
Nose is caramel malts, fruit, a little vegetal.
Taste follows, fruits, caramel, a bit on the twiggy side of the things!
Medium bodied, moderate carbonation, dry finish.
Pretty average stuff, not a revisit for me!

On cask @ Three Tuns, Dronfield - Clear dark red body, small pale tan head. Rather malty taste with mild sour fruit and cake fruits. Smooth palate with nice fine carbonation and a smooth finish. Nice fruity beer with a neat little tang.

Gravicask (CWAF2013, Sat)

Deep red. Fairly dull, a little watery. Dry nutty finish, has nice hops. Good for a red - nicely attenuated and dry.

imdownthepub (15396) - Banbury, Oxfordshire, ENGLAND - DEC 15, 2012
Cask conditioned at The Royal Blenhem, Oxford. Reddish amber with no head. There was a metallic, grainy note to the malts at the start of this, some tartish fruity hopped notes, red currant or gooseberry. Not great.

Cask conditioned handpump Wig & Pen Northampton 27/07/12. A reddy amber coloured beer. Red fruits in aroma and mouth. Sweet yet hoppy. A good length with good flavours. An enjoyable tasty beer.

Beesbeer (450) - WALES - AUG 5, 2012
A nice rich thick and comforting pint. That sort of ruby warmth from something malty, but a great building bitterness through the pint. I had it with a bowl of strawberries which were the perfect accompaniment. I think this is what they call a session beer, i.e. good balance between malt and hops and easy to drink a number of pints of without getting too schloozled.
