A delicious golden ale brewed with premium quality English malting barley and delightfully hopped with the two classic aroma varieties, Fuggles and East Kent Goldings. This traditional ale pours with a beautiful creamy head and exhibits a full-bodied maltiness that yields to a gentle bitter finish.

Beautiful malt aroma. Clear dark brown amber colour with so-so head. Malt flavour up front, toffee dominates with a smooth finish. Medium to heavy body with low carbonation.

Traditional English pale ale. Drunk at the brewery on nitro but scores/notes from bottle. Quite fruity on the nose but a sweet malt is certainly present. Pineapple and citrus leads into a malt/toffee sweetness, finishing with a subtle, cleansing bitterness. Coldstream's best beer. It's a cracker. Better on nitro but still very impressive in bottle. -

Pours a deep copper cold with a moderate head that fades to bits of lacing that fades quirckly to bits of lacing. Mild aroma of Malt sweetness and bit of hops in the background. Taste is a mild malt sweetness and bit of grain. Quite bland. Very mild bitterness Fairly light body and smooth with not too much flavor. A decent and non- offensive beer.

Bottle. darkish amber with a small head that fades to pretty much nothing. Toffee aroma with some sweet-shop spices. Taste has moderately sweet toffee and drying earth and spice. This is a bitter not a golden ale and it’s simple but OK. Just a tad more carbonation would be nice.

Hazy amber colour, no head surprisingly! Malty, roasted aroma is very pleasant. Dissapointing taste, very watery with a caramel touch. If the flavour was a bit fuller this would be a great beer.

This is the tale of two beers, on tap and out of a bottle, both have a similar aroma and appearence. But to drink, this is one where the bottle beats the tap. On tap it has a very low carbonation and is quite watery on the palate which is i guess the style but left me a bit underwhelmed. There was some nice sweetness and a slight bittering finish. Out of the bottle, the carbonation was more to my liking and the finish was a nice waxy hop bittering finish which was more APA than bitter. Either way, not bad, but the bottle is better.

330ml bottle. Beige coloured sandy foam head atop a hazy amber base. Dark for an amber ale but looks good. Sweet and strong hop aroma with a very malty taste followed by some dry bitterness. Smooth, refreshing and easy to drink.
