COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Galaxy hops from Myrtleford, Victoria, Australia and Mosaic hops from Yakima, WA deliver aromas and flavours of tropical fruits, mango and citrus. Light malt body lets the hops shine through, and finishes crisp but not bitter. A hemispheric hop mashup.

473mL can tagged Jan. 27 2017: Pours hazy translucent copper orange, small white cap, wee bit of lacing. Aroma: sweaty hops, lots of orange citrus, floral, hay, bit of pine. Full bitter feel in the mouth, average carb, and long bitter finish. Its thin body may be a detractor, but increases the drinkability. I remember this being much brighter and more fruit forward the first time I had it a year ago. Nevertheless, good.

473 ml can. Pours a clear light yellow with a moderate creamy white head. Aromas are barnyard and resin. Tastes are earthy with some alcohol and an assertive bitter (grapefruit?) bite on the back end. Light body, smooth on the tongue, and a long bitter and astringent finish. Doesnt mask the 6.8% abv very well and is too astringent for my tastes.

Welcome to the party, Canada! Ive been lamenting for years the disparity in craft brewing between Trumpistan and Trudeaupia, wishing for Canadian brewers to "go for it". With their Hemisphere IPA, Collective Arts has done it. Incredible amounts of citrus and passion fruit on the nose, with a perfect balance of malt and hop bitterness on the palate. While fruit-forward, nice backing of pine and pot add complexity and a promise of euphoria. Considering how hoppy the brew is, I would have expected massive IBUs, but instead you are rewarded by something supremely balanced. At 6.8% ABV, this easy-drinking balance is even more exceptional.

Aromas y sabores maltas y cereales algo speros rsticos ligeramente dulces afrutados con final amargo no muy pronunciado entre dulce afutado del inicio y seco resinoso final que prevalece. Buena se podra pulir algo mas. Para repetir.

What is this stuff? It comes in a brown bottle so it must be beer but beer has names like Budweiser, Molsons or Coors light on the can and you drink it in your underwear on the couch. Drinking this Creamsicle orange opaque liquid with its old lace colored head that leaves stratified whisps on the glass is an event. So put some pants on, get a glass and pay attention! You know as soon as you pop the cap that something is different. Orange blossoms mixed with pineapple hit your nose from 2 feet away. For me this scent dredges up memories of the time of year when spring becomes Summer. Its bitter...seriously bitter but balanced by a combination of subtle malts, carbonation and tropical fruit as well as an almost buttery mouth feel. Collective arts ransack the universe is surprisingly drinkable at 6.8% abv. So be careful. In the immortal words of Alex Lifeson of Rush "this stuff tastes good and makes me feel funny". But it isnt beer, its something more.

Hazy yellow orange. Citrusy tropical fruit aroma. Medium body, lightly creamy mouthfeel. Moderately bitter, citrus hops, a bit of malt, good balance. A solid, maybe not memorable ipa.

Can - solid IPA - hop dominant - well balanced with sweet malt which is a bit cloying - richly textured so not a thirst quencher - good hops but not a dinguished brew among so many similarly hopped Aust PAs avail here.
