Rhyme & Reason, Extra Pale Ale American style pale ale. The flavour and aroma of Citra, Centennial, Chinook and Simcoe hops prevail without excessive bitterness for maximum drinkability. Malt sweetness of Pale Ale, Crystal Carafoam and Wheat Flakes in the background complements the hops for a crisp finish. 5.7 ABV 55 IBUs (Bottles and Draft)

Jado (798) - Camp Hill, AUSTRALIA - DEC 22, 2016
Pint can. Slightly hazy honey-gold body with a tightly packed white head. Stonefruit, lemon zest and some caramel on the nose. Sweet malty notes up front are quickly overtaken by a peppery, grassy bitterness lifted by a sharp grapefruit note. Substantial body despite the style. Lingering bitter finish with a peachy aftertaste. More an English style pale, but still good.

budedou (979) - Saint Etienne, FRANCE - DEC 21, 2016
Pours a bright yellowish gold with a dense and thick white head. The nose smells like and English IPA with a light biscuity malt and grassy hop notes. The flavour is English up front with tropical fruits and dose of pine on the back end. Balanced, crisp and punchy with a nice pine aftertaste.

TedE (1363) - Sydney, AUSTRALIA - DEC 18, 2016
Pint can into shaker. Super sweet caramel nose. Not getting any hops or fruit, just toffee. Cloudy golden/amber beer with solid white head. Laces well. Full-bodied, oily texture. A little light hoppiness underpins the cornflakes flavour. Interesting, complex. Much sweeter than I thought it would be but seems to get less so as you continue. Nice, certainly easy to drink.

Tricker (417) - Quebec, CANADA - DEC 9, 2016

Oakes (17862) - Vancouver, British Columbia, CANADA - DEC 3, 2016
Hazy, quite dull, just a thin head. Aroma lacks expressiveness. Biscuity, chewy and quite yeasty. Moderate bitterness but not much hop brightness. Starts sweetish for style but ends quite bitter. Given my connections to Hamilton I was really hoping for more.

fiulijn (20806) - Vancouver, British Columbia, CANADA - DEC 1, 2016
Draught at Darby’s Gastown, Vancouver
Hazy golden color, small compact head. Zesty hops provide the character for this beer, supported by delicate crackery malts; the aroma is also lightly biscuity; the mouthfeel is moderately sweet, and the body is robust. Strong bitterness, for a result and zesty final.

thb (830) - Alberta, CANADA - NOV 25, 2016
Slight fog, needed a vigorous pour to get a head, but once it’s there, it’s quality. Orange. Aroma is resin, citrus hop, with grainy backing. Taste is quite bitter, but comes off cleanly. Hop flavour is a bit muddled (bottle might be old). Pleasant, more pleasant fresh.

Bulk_Carrier (6065) - Vermont, USA - NOV 25, 2016
Poured into a becher pint glass, the appearance was a ruddy burnt orange color with a concaving white foamy head. Just seems to spread out to the sides extremely slow in its dissipation of the head. Messy semi-thick foamy head. The aroma had some nice caramel crisp sweet malts running over some grassy to light citrus hops. The flavor leans malty sweet. Hops really don’t shine in this one. Malty sweet aftertaste with the same sort of finish. On the palate, this one sat about a light to medium on the body with a fair sessionability about it. Low carbonation moves nice and low. Overall, decent APA for it’s cleanness. Nothing over the top but gets the job done for the style.

The perfect blend of butter and citrus and at 5.7%, not too heavy on the alcohol

Gerbeer (3796) - Vancouver, British Columbia, CANADA - NOV 24, 2016
On tap. Pours a thick hazy orange/amber with moderate head. Aromas of toffee, mashed fruit, light pine and sweet malts. Flavors of toffee, doughy malts, bitter lemon, dried fruit and grass. A bit soapy...
