COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Our unfiltered amber lager is an old, rare, and rather unique German style.

Wholesome and buttery, with toasty, bready malts and hints of caramel and toffee, Berne is a smooth and naturally cloudy beer with grassy hops that deliver subtle balance to the palate.

Malty, yet dry, simple yet elegant.

Pours hazy red amber with big head. Not too strong a nose. Light mouthfeel and highly carbonated. Malty taste well hopped. Very drinkable

Bov (12636) - Bienne, SWITZERLAND - JUL 24, 2014
courtesy of Ingmar Küsel - hazy red-amber beer with a persistent beige foam; spicy hoppiness with light notes of red fruits marmalade; medium-bodied, fizzy and pretty tart; long spicy and caramelish aftertaste

500ml. Muddy particulated red with a dense slender lid. Good German-accented heady unfiltered lager aroma confusing shrub, sesame, thistle sap and banana. That flavour alive with the perfume of a Munchen summer evening beneath the chestnut boughs. Better than their other beers.

Bottle from Archer Road Beer Stop, Sheffield. Label has it as Bern Stein. Hazy amber. Thin, lasting, white head. Bready and sweet toffee. Taste is dry and fruity. Overall, though, this tastes artificial. Mouth coating saccharine thing going on.
