COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Cask, Occasional & Bottled;
A bright amber ale, smooth initially with a slight hint of the Munich malt coming through from the grist. This is complemented well by the stronger refreshing taste from this well hopped beer. Named after the unusual mural of a headless dog at the front door to the brewery.

Sigmund (7539) - Tau, NORWAY - JUL 23, 2017
500 ml bottle, as Hilden Headless Dog, from Tesco Express, Belfast. ABV is 4.2%. Golden colour, moderate to small white head. Meaty aroma, weird, only the slightest hint of citrussy hops (Cascade). The flavour is more distinctly citrussy, but also slightly vinegary and woody, and tastes infected. Crap.

Nice balanced beer and very easy to drink. Medium bodied, subtle aroma and hop taste. Tastes of caramel and biscuit with a medium clean bitterness. Better than your average beer.

Golden appearance strange taste rather chemical. Fair strength is only redeeming feature but nothing exciting. Disappointed. This was on tap in Witherspoon Belfast Dublin road..
