3.2 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
Pours a rusty orange with a big head.
The aroma is peppery, bready, & floral with a little minerallity.
The flavor is kind of malty sweet, a bit too much so for this kind of beer... it’s got some bread crust & peppery notes along with some bright red apple & pear character. It’s mildly tart, but not really sour. Just a little less alcohol & a little more dryness and I think this would be up my alley.

Bottled, sampled at rest. Al Vicoletto, Trapani, Sicily.
Cloudy orange color with good head retention. Lots of yeast in the bottle. Good fruity, malty nose with caramel notes. Medium sweet and medium to full bodied with soft, almost oily mouthfeel. Rich fruity, with a gentle touch of crystal malt and red candy. Low to medium bitterness. Solid beer.

2.4 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 7/20
Even at $1.79 this might have been a mistake. If it weren’t for being required to buy six to get an additional discount I would have gone right past on it the shelf. I cannot imagine paying full prices (about $8.49) for this. Skip unless you get a great deal.
Aroma / Appearance - The long clear legs and bubbly carbonation are OK until the head fades away to nothingness. Cereal or oatmeal topped with a handful of dried cherries makes it difficult to pin down the brewer’s intent. Whatever it was they failed.
Flavor / Palate - Apple juice from a child’s sippy cup has the same texture and flavor as this dud. The only difference is the alcohol that begins to peek through after the second or third sip. About half the bottle was a drain pour. If it unclogged something at least I got some value for my money.

2nd October 2011
Cloudy brown beer, good off white head. Palate start soft from the head but then is very crisp in the body of the beer. Good carbonated sting. Minerally fresh malt with mild lactose. Tiny bit of orange hop. Sharp carbonated finish with a trace of banana. Refreshing if somewhat ephemeral.

Botella 500 ml. Brown in color, no head. Sweet darker fruits as raisins and dadels in aroma mostly. Taste is quite similar, some darker fruits that is. Sweet maltyness too. A bit too much of the sweet stuff on the whole.
