3.5 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20
UPDATED: DEC 8, 2012 Thanks Kate! Pours a light hazy blonde with a small white head. Aroma is spicy and peppery with a light bready character and some slight citrus. Flavor starts sweet, some honey, maybe a touch of clove and the classic belgian yeast notes, slight gumminess and a strong fruity estery character. Medium body and a soft carbonation.
Bottle. Rather clear golden color with white head. Aroma is dough, estery, peach. Taste is biscuity, peach, phenols. Silky mouthfeel with medium carbonation. Tasty, but could be more intense in flavour. surething_ii (800) - Šenkvice, SLOVAK REPUBLIC - APR 12, 2017
Bottle at Basilicò, Bratislava.
No head. Aroma is decent Belgian, you can actually smell the alcohol!
Luckily, in taste it’s not that visible and it’s surprisingly easy to drink beer. Sweetness, typical for Belgian beers, is there in a non-intrusive way.
Why not. crossovert (13914) - Chicago, Illinois, USA - FEB 18, 2017
375ml bottle. Bought it on clearance foe 1.99. Light gold pour with floaties and a white head. Aroma is oxidization, mint, sherry, appleskin. Flavor is sweet and oxidized, apple and vanilla. Doesn’t taste like a tripel, and it isn’t good. JPDIPSO (6287) - Wauwatosa, USA - JAN 30, 2017
Cloudy light golden color with a lasting tall white head. Heavy sheet of lace if left, and a continuance of tine bubbles. Aromas of floral hops, honey, pale malt, apricots, and some light oak. Soft feel. I’m not detecting the alcohol in the feel or taste, but my stomach is getting quite warm. My kind of tripel/strong. Pale malt, some resin and rubber in the middle, finish has spices of cloves, nutmeg and mace. Perhaps a strong wit, but a well done one. 1/13

This corked and caged bottled brew from a restaurant was decanted through a cheese cloth due to the large amount of sediment in the bottle. What remained was no head with a softly carbonated transparent weak yellow orange colored body. The weak aroma was of straw. The mouth feel was tingly at the start and strongly tingly at the finish. The ok flavor contained notes of straw floral hops dough and malt. Not one that I would likely drink again. The bottle looks better than the flavor!

Again minimal aroma and head but a much preferable flavor to the Rossa. A bit of a wheat beer mixed with Tripel feel. Still a one time beer though. Koskela (505) - Marysville, California, USA - MAY 5, 2016
Way to much carb in this clear golden brew. Sweet tangy aromas come from my glass. Almost a metallic tang. Sweet smooth low carb on the mouthfeel. Feels flat full bodied. Sweet from the grain and yeast. Overly sweet. Aftertaste is more sweet. gyllenbock (9855) - Stockholm, SWEDEN - APR 10, 2016
Bottle, thanks Silenzi.
Hazy golden with a small white head. Sweet with biscuits, some fruit, grass and some hints of spices. Drinkable but nothing special. SirLimpsalot (4550) - SWEDEN - APR 9, 2016
@ Silenzi 16-4-9: lätt kolaaktig doft med små toner av kandissocker. Ingen jättehöjdare. shrubber85 (11618) - Greenville, Indiana, USA - DEC 25, 2015
Bottle. Musty lemon, biscuit malt, and grass aroma. Golden yellow with small head. Lactic lemon, biscuit malt, and mildly bitter herbal hay flavor. Nice body.
