Scopeys East Croydon tasting - Cheers Paul! Clear pale gold beer, tiny white head. Light semi dry palate. Dry lagerish malt, tiny bit of tangy hop. Dry finish. Drinkable - certainly had worse lagers.
Bottle. This is a nice simple pale lager without much going for it but it ain’t bad either. MesandSim (7117) - London, Greater London, ENGLAND - AUG 27, 2007
A Mes rate:
Bottle at RBESG. More infected foam from Colonsay. Salty, cardboard and a lightly hoppy finish. Bullit (4631) - Burgos, SPAIN - MAY 18, 2009
Bottled @ Peckham’s Beer Festival. Pale yellow colour, small white head. Aroma has typical lager malts, some fruits. Flavour is slightly malty as well. RoyceH (1199) - Hesperange, LUXEMBOURG - AUG 30, 2007
Bottle, RBESG Grand Tasting 07. From the never ending eruption that was the bottle of this. Hazy blonde, thin white head. Nose is hazy and warm maltiness. Some warm, bad water infection nose. Mouth is watery malt, some dry rot, not much aftertaste, think this could have gone bad?

Clear light golden, tiny, diminishing white head. The peppery yeast character initially surprises positively, but clearly it is soured, herbal and sulfury, just like their 80 /-. Pretty ruined in mouth, bready and watery and in fact not unlike dish water. Poor. motelpogo (7704) - Plzen, CZECH REPUBLIC - NOV 18, 2007
rhbesg07, bottled. pale golden, slight white head, white grape and raw sugar aroma, slightly infected, plain flour aftertaste, pretty rank Dedoulequeen07 (135) - london, Greater London, ENGLAND - AUG 28, 2007
Apale cloudy amber colour with very little head. Believed 2 b infected as the aroma is of stale rotten wood.Quite carbonated but watery to taste with detectable sournerss and a horrible mouldy bread aftertaste. Need 2 try again 2 see an improvement. scotty (1208) - SCOTLAND - MAY 10, 2008
I liked the look of this, the thick glass of the bottle and the label with the open beach, "beauty in a bottle" it says in the corner, it was the last bottle on the shelf which says to me "this has nearly sold out, it MUST be good" Well that’ll teach me, this is shit! It would have been a crackin’ colour if it wasn’t for the hazy proteins making it almost opaque. the head is a few islands of white bubbles floating aimlessly around the middle of the glass. the nose is unpleasant, sour even. The palate is medium which I’m guessing would be typical, however there is an astringent edge which is the final straw for me...( pours the remaining 3/4 pint down the sink!) Ok! this could’ve been a dodgy bottle, maybe thats why it was the only one left! I may try it again, I’ll see how I feel, this was bought in a wine shop in North Berwick, cant remember the exact price but it wasn’t kicking the arse off £3.
