On draft at the brewpub it is a clear Amber color with a slight head. The aromais malty and the taste is even on the palate with hints of malt. And remains even on the palate

UPDATED: SEP 1, 2016 32 oz canned crowler. labeled as Irish red. Pours a nice looking amber brown color with a big beige head that has fair retention. The aroma features caramel and, well, just caramel. The taste was watered down caramel and minerals. The palate was thin and disappointing. Finished short and forgettable. overall: meh, second beer from this brewpub that has really let me down. not likely to try any more.
Re-rate 8-31-16. Had the cask version of this on draught at the brewpub. It was considerably better than the crowlered version I had previously. The palate was sfull smooth and creamy. The taste was still malt dominant but their was an underlying spicy bitterness that worked quite well. This also paired exceptionally well with their pizza. Raising my score from 2.7 to 3.7 douglas88 (9425) - Portland, Oregon, USA - OCT 15, 2012
On tap in Denver for GABF 2012. Pours a mostly clear amber color with a medium white head. A sweet caramel and dusty nose. A thin brew with dusty leaves, caramel, some sweet malts. Decent.

Draft @ beaumont hotel in Ouray. Pitched as ’amber ale’. Nose is pretty thin, a little malt, a little toffee. Flavor is pretty watery, and a muddled mix of the malt and very little else. Finish is a dead ringer for the Biscotti cookies on United Airlines (not necessarily a bad thing, but pretty sweet and bready). Run of the mill. drjay44 (3740) - Salida, Colorado, USA - JUL 12, 2009
Draft at Sbr. Tasted 7/11/09. Pours a white head, over a clear ogangy body....nose is toffee, and sweet chocolate....taste is mild toffee, bit of biscuit.
