4 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 9/10 PALATE 5/5 OVERALL 16/20
32 oz crowler can. Dark brown with a good beige head. Aroma of chocolate and burnt malts. Taste is similar to the nose, good well roasted grains and mocha set in a nutty malt base. The palate is full and creamy, finishes long and dry. Overall: Best damn porter I’ve had in a long time.

Sample at Brewers Rendezvous 7/9/11. Pours a medium, mocha head, over a slightly hazy dark brown (SRM 35) body....nose is rich coffee, chocolate, very light vanilla.....taste is coffee, chocolate, with the barest hint of vanilla....mouth feel light, carbonation low. I believe this was a special, for the event, and was their standard Porter recipe aged in the cask. It was a bit light to the style. BJCP 6/3/11/4/5

Tasted at Brewers Rendezvous 7/10/10. Pours a thin off white head, over a brown (SRM 30) apparently clear body....nose is light coffee, light chocolate....taste is very light coffee, chocolate....mouth feel is on the light side of medium, carbonation medium. Over all an identifiable Porter, but on the light side overall. BJCP 6/3/10/4/5
