On cask at Colorado Boy Montrose poured a clear dark reddish brown with a lasting creamy tan head. Aromas of roasted malt, bakers cocoa, coffee and light earthiness. Palate was light bodied and smooth with a dry finish. Flavors of roasted malt, bakers cocoa, light coffee and light earthiness with a smooth dry lingering roasty finish. 32 oz crowler can. Dark brown with a good beige head. Aroma of chocolate and burnt malts. Taste is similar to the nose, good well roasted grains and mocha set in a nutty malt base. The palate is full and creamy, finishes long and dry. Overall: Best damn porter I’ve had in a long time. PorterPounder (7894) - Tallahassee, Florida, USA - DEC 8, 2015
Montrose, CO - on cask at Colorado Boy’s. Nice topsoil and light creosote aroma. Solid light chocolate notes, hints of coffee, some creosote in the back end. Creamy mouthfeel. Good solid working man’s porter. Ernest (7662) - Boulder, Colorado, USA - JUL 3, 2015

Sample at Brewers Rendezvous 7/9/11. Pours a medium, mocha head, over a slightly hazy dark brown (SRM 35) body....nose is rich coffee, chocolate, very light vanilla.....taste is coffee, chocolate, with the barest hint of vanilla....mouth feel light, carbonation low. I believe this was a special, for the event, and was their standard Porter recipe aged in the cask. It was a bit light to the style. BJCP 6/3/11/4/5

Tasted at Brewers Rendezvous 7/10/10. Pours a thin off white head, over a brown (SRM 30) apparently clear body....nose is light coffee, light chocolate....taste is very light coffee, chocolate....mouth feel is on the light side of medium, carbonation medium. Over all an identifiable Porter, but on the light side overall. BJCP 6/3/10/4/5
