COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION

Bottle at home, brought to me from Brasil by a nice gentleman named Marlo’s two years ago. I’m sad to report that I think I held off too long on drinking this. The wax was chalky and a bit hard to remove. Brown appearance with a thin brown head. Definitely some oxidation in the nose along with booze, figs, and tannins. Medium full body. Brown sugar, caramel, figs and plums in the flavor. It’s ok but it definitely has oxidized too much. All things created equal, I’m not sure I would have loved this fresher anyhow.

It pours a dark brown, almost black color with faint red hues under the foam when looked against the light. The head is light brown and persists for about a minute or so receding down to a circular layer of foam on the edges of the glass. Lacing is moderate.
