Bottle shared with a friend from a beer advent calendar. Pours an amber color with lots of sediment floating around. Smells like orange. Very strong smell. Strong citrus taste with an alcohol kick in the end. It’ll get ya!

Pours dark amber from Alexandria whole foods bottle. A bit of sweetness and malts aroma. Pine resin but a bit of a sweet finish, it’s Brazilian after all.

Bottle, pours a cloudy dark orange amber with a small beige head. Nose is heavily malted, with loads of caramel malt along with resinous hops and a little pine. Flavour is thankfully not over-malted, with lots of woody resinous hops upfront, the slightest herbal quality, and a solid caramel malt backbone. Surprisingly cohesive and well-balanced -- wasn’t expecting much from a Brazilian IIPA, but this is very nice. Well-done.

310ml brown bottle, Craft Beer Advent Calendar 2014, not sure which day this is from... Orange pour with haze and off putting floaties. Well formed off white cap of foam, nice creaminess and lacing. Nose has marmalade notes - orangey and grape fruity but sweetish, caramel malt as well. Taste has caramel malt with citrus hops. Bitterness is pretty mild. Aftertaste has caramel and mild citrus. Medium body, smooth for an above 9% brew, but fairly plain for the style.

Bottle to IPA glass Grapefruit, pine resin, spruce and a light smattering of tropical fruit. Colour is amber and it has a frothy 3-4 cm bright white head with decent retention due to the thousands of small bubbles flowing up from the bottom of the glass. There are also a large amount of yeasty particulates floating around on the bubble train. Taste is tropical fruit, bubble gum, peppermint, and pine.

Pours up kind of apricot color little redish tinge, deffiently a floral smell to it somewhat vegital..heavy boozy innitial peppery taste ,slightly vegetal bitter with a sweet citrusy almost orange or apricot back end. Burnt sugar melty maltyness .interestingly enough it actually tastes like it smells..mouthfeel is whats to be expected for a boozy high abv, yet still a nice carbonation on the tongue..would drink again..

Poured pretty carefully to avoid too much gunk. Ended up with little head, peachy amber colour. It looks thick while pouring. Aroma is mostly malty, caramel, with some leftover hop, maybe pine. Taste is what happens to old DIPAs - some residual bitterness but mostly malt and alcohol. Some citrus taste sort of. Feel is ok, medium full but loads of alcohol burn. Good for a try but not something I’d need twice.
