Like many fruit beers, the aroma was quite good but then the wheels came off. Good apricot aroma. Darkish clear gold with a thin head. Tangy, hoppy and the apricots aren’t overdone. A bit too tart and abrasive in the finish. Medium body. BennyTicklez (621) - USA - JUL 11, 2004
UPDATED: FEB 6, 2005 I enjoyed this one more than I thought I would. Pours light brown, with a small white head. Taste is heavy on the apricots. Well done. More apricot flavor than Dogfish’s Aprihop. blkitson (158) - Westerville, Ohio, USA - FEB 14, 2007
Smells great, taste is a little bit to be desired. Who came up with putting fruit in beer? What’s next, watermellon or mushmellon? fromred2green (187) - , Ohio, USA - JUL 22, 2009
Bottle. Pours amber in color with a medium white head. Aroma of apricots, as one would think. Flavor is malty with a hint of apricot. Much better than some of the other fruit beers I’ve tried; this one is like beer with a hint of fruit - not fruit with a hint of beer. Not bad. rags2rags (149) - Columbus, Ohio, USA - JAN 6, 2010
Bottle at Hang Over Easy. Aroma is, obviously, full of apricot. Also notes of malt, but not much else. Taste is pretty heavy on the apricot, with some malts and a faint taste of hops afterwards. It was not unlike drinking a piece of toast with apricot jam on it. It wasn’t overly sweet, so I’ll give it credit for that. Could have been better, could have been worse.

Decent fruit beer. Apricot is subtle in the taste but prevails in the nose. Smooth, golden ale. bender (293) - Reynoldsburg, Ohio, USA - SEP 28, 2003
Golden yellow body with a thin white head. No lacing.hopdog (12953) - Lansdale, Pennsylvania, USA - JUN 28, 2005
Smells like apricots.
Apricot and malt (pils?) mixes nicely together. Sweet and slightly bitter finish. Nice lingering apricot finish.
Medium bodied but not a session beer.
Bottle acquired in trade with OhioDad (thanks!). Poured a medium and hazy amber color with a large (4.5 finger) off white head. Aromas of apricots and wet grass. Tastes of lighter apricots, light caramel, and some hops. Lightly tart and lightly sweet. Thin and watery body. SuIIy (1983) - Burlington, Vermont, USA - OCT 26, 2005
12oz from OhioDad. Thanks Scott! Pours a cloudy dark yellow orange color with a big rocky/frothy white head. Aroma is light hopps and some apricot and sugar. Taste is fruity, apricot, some mixed citrusy notes, a bit of malt and some sugar. Not overly powering like some fruit beers, a decent mixture actually estoppel (1028) - Buffalo, New York, USA - JUL 31, 2008
Draft at brewpub. Amber body, slight apricot nose, smallish white head. Apricot is more assertive in the flavor; base beer is pretty neutral.
