Draft at Mad Mex served in a pint glass. Pours a cloudy brown amber with a small, lasting off-white head. Light aroma. Notes of toast, earthy hops, nuts, faint brown sugar. Flavor of toasted malts, earth, nuts, dirt, dust, and brown sugar. Medium body, with a toasty, earthy mouthfeel and sweet finish. Low carbonation. Good. Sample at Gallo’s Tap Room. The beer pours a clear copper color with a medium off-white head that recedes steadily to an outer ring. Spotty lacing on the glass. The aroma is malty with notes of hops and fruit. Medium body with equal parts sweet malt and hops flavors, plus some ripe fruit in the background. The finish is malty up front with a bit of earthy hops aftertaste. Above average overall. Tmoney99 (14623) - Cincinnati, Ohio, USA - FEB 29, 2012
