My favorite beer of all time this was introduced to me 3 years ago an I have been hooked since. Clip0314 (1) - - SEP 14, 2017 does not count
Best IPA around. It is smooth, refreshing and clean. It's my go to beer, on tap is just as good.

UPDATED: AUG 2, 2012 Appears a hazy orange-to-golden color with a nice white head. The aroma is full of floral and earthy notes. The taste is very balanced, not overly bitter. There are also good floral notes here. The malts are very bready, almost like a biscut. The mouthfeel is medium bodied with the right amount of carbonation. Definitely a very drinkable IPA. Overall, a great brew. Glad I can find it pretty easily around here. Buckeyes2010 (4) - - APR 3, 2016 does not count
I’m surrounded by craft beer at work, but this IPA is my go to every time. Taste is very well balanced between hops vs malt and pine vs citrus. Definitely get some pineapple and dank resin flavors going on here.
There’s so many good IPAs out there that it’s hard for one to standout, but this one manages to be one of the best Ohio has to offer. DoublEE (782) - South Euclid, Ohio, USA - APR 22, 2013
A - A murky golden orange color without a lot of bubbles, but a beautiful two finger foamy white head. Definitely unfiltered. This one leaves a lacing like no other beer I’ve seen.
S - Strong notes of citrus hops dominate this one, very fruity with a faint faint touch of pine. A sweet maltiness is also apparent.
T - Wow, this tastes like grapefruit, only 20 times better. Fruity, citrusy, sweet, and slightly bitter. The sweet malts come through on the back end of this one. Not much alcohol apparent. A finely balanced beer and one of the most delicious I’ve tasted.
M - It feels a little more carbonated than I suspected, but as smooth as I’ve ever tasted. Goes down easy and not as big as some IPAs. This is very nice.
D - I feel sorry for the IPA lovers that haven’t had a chance to try this one. This is a beer you can ride on all night and never get tired of it. An easy drink and extremely refreshing at that.

Poured from a bottled 2 days ago into a tulip glass clear yellow gold with an impressive white head.
Aroma is beautifully pine.
Flavor even better than aroma. Clean cut pine trees with slight malts. Truly an incredible IPA. Even with west coast preference (by birth) in beers this brew makes me step back and realize how truly great Midwest brews have become.
Makes many IPAs seem half assed. bluejacket74 (1995) - Reynoldsburg, Ohio, USA - AUG 20, 2011
I’ve had Columbus IPA many times before with it being a local favorite of mine, but surprisingly I’ve never reviewed it until now!
12 ounce bottle. Served in a Columbus Brewing Company pint glass, the beer pours a hazy orange/amber color with about an inch off-white head that stays around for a while. There’s a lot of lacing left on the glass. Aroma is mostly citrusy hops (tropical fruit, orange, grapefruit, mango), along with some piney hops and a bit of sweet malt. The taste is pretty much just like the aroma, it’s full of citrusy and pine hops, and there’s some light malt in there too. There’s also a very long lasting bitter hoppy finish. Mouthfeel/body is medium, it’s a bit slick and creamy with good carbonation. This is one of my favorite IPA’s, and I’m glad this is made here in town and is readily available in the area. Definitely recommended. Onenote81 (1002) - Winston-Salem, North Carolina, USA - OCT 25, 2012
Always grab some sixers of this when in OH visiting the in-laws. Noticed I never gave this a proper review. 12oz bottle into a goblet. The pour yields a dark honey-amber with a thick frothy bone-white head. Great retention, with spotty lace left behind. Pine, citrus, floral overtones. Nothing new here, but the aroma is so potent and fresh. Love it.
Medium carbonation gives this beer enough heft to hold up the flavors, but without any lasting astringency. The reason I love this beer so much is the perfect balance between the bitter hops and sweet malty backbone. I would say this even leans slightly to the sweet side, which isn’t a detriment to it at all. Grapefruit, musk melon, orange give this a nice fruity quality. The hops add just a touch of oily feel as well, and they don’t linger too long on the aftertaste. Just enough "burn" to satisfy the hop-head in me, but fleeting enough to keep me gulping this one. This is one of the most drinkable and approachable IPAs I have had, and it will be one I continually buy when in the area. Can’t wait until Christmas when I can get some more! hopsythe (46) - - APR 23, 2014
Bottle pour. Orangish reddish brown. Aroma of sweet malt and tropical fruit. An easy drinker with just the right amount of passion fruit bitterness to linger.

Great IPA. Rarely would a Michigan fan call anything with Columbus on it great... But this is great. Good flavor and aroma of hops. Good pour with nice head and lacing.
