OHIOHDAD, THANKS! I got a huge head off this amber body. This head would not quit, creamy and tan and foamy. Nose was malty and hoppy and earth. The taste was hops, and balanced malts, but the finish was watery. IMtheOptimator (1170) - Brookfield, Connecticut, USA - AUG 26, 2005
Thanks to OhioDad for this beer.OhioDad (2492) - Hilliard, Ohio, USA - MAY 3, 2005
Poured an effervescent amber with a semi-creamy off-white head. Pleasant aroma of piney hops, touch of citrus. Taste has a modest hop kick with an acidic ctirus character... like a weak pale ale with a twist of lemon. Touch of toffee in the finish. Fairly refreshing, though not nearly assertive enough for an APA.
Pours deep amber color very dark for an APA I thought. Slight head dissipates fairly quickly not much lacing. Most of the aroma is surprisingly caramel malt. A little bit of hops on the back of the aroma but really not that much... Is this really an APA? First few sips were mostly malt flavor for me then I started to notice the bitter and citrus hops on the back of the palate ever so little. This is a very unique APA and It is a little heavier than those I have tried prior to this one. A decent drink and definitely a unique one for th style. dp (608) - uniontown, Ohio, USA - APR 14, 2005

Bottle at jeffc666’s Birthday Gathering. Courtesy of ???. Copper with a small frothy white head. Nose is hoppy and floral with light maltiness. Some fruit creeping in at times. Taste is hoppy with some maltiness and light fruit. Medium body with decent carbonation. Finish is more hops and light malt. Some citrusy fruit notes as well.

(12oz bottle) Clear amber body topped by small off-white head. Aroma is medium sweet, orange, floral. Taste is mild sweet, rarthy, floral, light fruity. Light-medium body, light acidity. jeffc666 (1984) - Fairfax, Virginia, USA - JAN 2, 2005
Clear sparkling copper body topped by a foamy collapsing off-white head. Decent lace. The aroma is light citrus and floral hops. The flavor is more floral than citrus, light bread and caramel. Medium-light body, very lively carbonation. Too fizzy, other than that decent for what it is. MilkmanDan (1942) - Eagan, Minnesota, USA - DEC 28, 2004
Deep copper-orange. Nose hoppy and a bit citric. Flavor is quite hoppy, mostly just bitter, maybe some orange peel. Some intriguing malts, kind of a chocolate-cocoa hint there. Extremely fizzy stuff. A decent APA. heemer77 (5361) - Urbandale, Iowa, USA - DEC 24, 2004
This pours a lighter amber with a thin light yellowish head. Aroma of light pine. Couldn’t get much else. Thin mouthfeel. The taste is sweet with ginger and a malty finish. Bready. Thanks milkmandan. heykevin (1287) - Decorah, Iowa, USA - DEC 23, 2004
Clear golden amber. Caramelly sweet lightly cascadey aroma. Lightish hops are a bit lacking, but I rather like this. A bit sweetish in the finish.
