Pours a deep amber with an off white head. Looks like honey when held up to the light. Aroma is malty, grassy hops, spices, and actually smells dry. Flavor is malty with light floral notes. Overall it is smooth, but very generic. mmilholen (4) - Columbus, Ohio, USA - JUL 13, 2010 does not count
Pours a bright golden color. Aroma is incredible -- extraordinarily grapefruit like. I left a little in the glass and in the morning my kitchen smelled like citrus! Malty -- nice caramel sweetness rolls into a balanced hop explosion of grapefruit and floral bitterness. Wonderful beer. Among the best pale ales I have ever had. I put this in my top 5 American beers. joeyplush (648) - Garnet Valley, Pennsylvania, USA - JUL 1, 2010
On tap at Columbus airport, on way back from visiting call center to promote Ultimate Rewards. Decent looking beer, aroma was on the light side. Taste was not impressive - starts off with some hoppiness but fades quickly and finishes weak. Will try the IPA next time. JaBier (8253) - Capital City, Ohio, USA - MAR 25, 2010
On tap. Clear amber pour with a medium off-white head. Citrusy, piney and grassy hop notes mixed with pale malt. Malty flavor hits the tongue first, then the citrus, pine and grass. Lasting bitter finish, but still a nice medium-bodied session ale. fromred2green (187) - , Ohio, USA - DEC 21, 2009
Bottle. Pours a hazy dark yellow with a small white head. Aroma of fresh floral hops. Flavor is very hoppy, with an interesting malty kick toward the finish. More character than a typical pale ale, and a very good beer.

On tap at the CBC. Deep golden color with a thin off white head. Fresh hop and raw grain nose. There is a strong hop bite over a solid malty backbone. Some bitter grass in the finish. This is a pretty standard pub pale ale. Cletus (6368) - Connecticut, USA - AUG 5, 2009
Pours gold with a white head. Smells of earth, tea, some caramel. Tastes perfumy and spicy with an earthy finish. Enjoyable. jimmack34 (647) - Lancaster, Ohio, USA - MAR 3, 2009
Bottle. Pours golden orange with a nice head. Smells of malt and floral, spicy hops. Tastes bready, pine, and a slight citrus, tangerine maybe. Pretty good stuff. shigadeyo (3790) - Cincinnati, Ohio, USA - FEB 22, 2009

2/182009: CBC Pale Ale has a beautiful, sunny orange color with a lasting frothy beige head. The aroma and flavor are both fresh and showcase the citrusy, floral, and slightly resiny hops accompanied by just a tough of toffee maltiness. This beer is smooth and soft on the palate which helps make it quite sessionable. This accompanied my dinner of liver and onions quite nicely...
Draught at Cap City Diner in Gahanna,Ohio. Rating #92 for this beer.
golden brown with decent white head. Not much malt in this one, a little too bitter, but a decent hop flavor. An average at best ipa
