12 oz bottle. Pours amber brown with with minimal head. Smells of rye, bread crust, and pumpkin pie. Tastes of gingerbread, holiday pies, semi-sweet, and nutmeg. Very high amounts of variety of flavors.

On tap at the CBC. From the recent ratings I must recommend getting this on tap. Deep reddish amber color with a thin off white head. Strong cinnamon spice and baked apple nose, almost like mulled cider. Very sweet beer with lots of apples, cinnamon, clove, pie crust, and a hint of alcohol warmth. The finish sits in the mouth like a warm apple dumpling a la mode. This is a very tastey spiced winter ale.

(bottle, possibly old). Cloudy amber color. Huge off white head, which diminished after time. Aroma and flavor of light malt, hop, and mint. Avg duration. Dry finish. Slick texture. Moderate carbonation. Good lacing.

Bottle at the otown throwdown. amber body. I had it when it was warm, so it might be better cole. I tasted sweet malts and sugar. Not terrible.

UPDATED: JUL 22, 2009 Bottle (12). Quite foamy, a little on the hoppy side. Taste seemed a little odd and unbalanced as I started to drink, but evened out as I finished. Very spicy. Would buy again, but wouldn’t go out of my way to find it.

Bottle thanks to BeerVirgin72. Thank god I opened this chilled, as it was a slow gusher, and first pour was all foam... Head continued to rise for several minutes just sitting in my glass...Weird. As said, the head was huge, and creamy, just slightly off-white. Good lacing. Underneath is a hazy but effervescent body that is a deep orange hue. Aroma is sweet with berries, hops and cinnamon. Taste is odd and metallic with some fruit and harsh grainy malt. Not balanced. Notes of ginger that burn a little. Very fizzy and dry.
