This limited run cider, of more than 150 kegs, was produced in June 2011 from exceptional hand picked apples. We simply call it cider. It’s a dry, tart fully fermented cider and comes in at 5.5% alcohol by volume. This is real cider, not the sugary sweet alko-pop stuff you may be familiar with!

first cider I ’be rated. Clear pale gold with streams of tiny bubbles emanating from the bottom slight aroma flavor is distinctively dry tart and crisp. Finishes tart , like a Granny Smith .

On tap at the brewery. Pours a hazy gold with small white head. The aroma is apples and pears, floral.Thin body, apple, oak, nice tartness, light finish, good.

Sample at PA Cider Fest 6/25/16
Fizzy weak and dry. Just a meh, nothing you can’t get exactly anywhere else sort of cider

FROTHINGSLOSH (8164) - GREENSBURG, Pennsylvania, USA - SEP 8, 2015
Sampled from a 12 oz clear bottle this cider poured a yellow-gold color with an enormous foamy white head that faded quickly and left no lacing. The aroma was apple juice, apple peel and was fairly dry. The flavor was exceptionally dry with a cardboard note followed by a bit of apple and band aid. Long dry cardboard and band aid finish. light body. Not good at all.

Dry and sour with bite. Dry artificial apple flavors. Wheat, citrus, viney. Possibly some hop. Not bad.

Jesterdeal (1986) - Marlton, New Jersey, USA - MAY 7, 2014
On tap at Johnny Brendas. Aroma is very light apple and slight dishwasher detergent. Pours super light blond with light carbonation and no head. Taste is light bitter pear and baking soda. Bitter mouthfeel but at the same time, very thin and dry. Bitter finish. I did not like this at all.

callmemickey (4561) - Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, USA - JAN 12, 2014
Clear golden colored body, thin fizzy head. Faint apples, champagne yeast, too much malic acid coming through. Light bodied, semi-dry, lingering, off finish.

MicroGrog (467) - FT: Stale Polotmavý in Queens, New York, USA - SEP 23, 2013

Twelve ounce bottle from the Northern Liberties Foodery in Philly. Poured into a rounded pint glass.

Clear bronze body. Soda fizz.

Smells of gummi bears, fragrant perry, & plastic.

Tastes of boiled apples, peel, stems, & all. Saline. Watermelon rind bitterness. Banana-ish esters mixed in with some residual yeasty quality towards the end. Dry, but more acidic & not at all tart or crisp. Harsh forced carbonation seems to be to try & fill those gaps.

A bit to anemic for me.

PhillyCraft (7983) - Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, USA - AUG 9, 2013
Bottle at P house, clearish yellow golden with no head or lacing. Notes are champagne yeast, wine wine, and oak. No apples detectable, super dry and vino’d out. Not a fan.

Thanks to my beer buddy cheap, I have to agree it does taste like his homemade cider. Pale yellow, no head. I like the fact that it doesn’t taste like a soda pop, has cider, apple taste. Nice change once in a while.

NikkTwist (3368) - Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, USA - JUN 13, 2013
Draft at Khyber Pass. Clear golden straw pour. Minimal head. Full but very dry. Good, but better as a mix.
